Strapped Lindsay Had Trouble Posting $300K Bail
Lindsay Lohan was released from jail after only 12 hours late Friday, however, sources tell me it nearly didn't happen when Judge Patricia Schnegg set bail at a whopping $300,000.
"Lindsay hasn't earned that sort of money in a long time," a family insider tells me. "There was a moment when the family honestly thought Lindsay wasn't going to be released because they didn't have that amount of money available to post bail."
My source tells me it would have been a "tragedy" if, after all her lawyer's hard work, Lindsay would have had to stay locked up just because of family money issues.
In the "good news" department, Lindsay is heading back to a live-in rehab facility outside Los Angeles rehab this week. Voluntarily, I might add. She dominated headlines going into last weekend, when she was taken into custody Friday, denied bail, then granted bail by day's end after Judge Schnegg overturned Judge Elden Fox's ruling.
Is she FINALLY heeding her father's pleas to sober up? In a statement to PopEater on Saturday, Michael said, "Hopefully, she will go into a rehab NOW, to keep her freedom, to show the judge that she is serious and to make the decision that will truly change her life for the better."

So whose fault is it that she doesn't have much green these days?
Lindsay hasn't been earning A-list cash for a long time, but she has continued to live the lifestyle of a major star. When I saw the troubled star recently in New York, she was wearing thousands of dollars in designer clothes and was being chauffeured around in a fancy car, all while staying at one of the city's most expensive hotels.
Many insiders have wondered how she paid for this while working so little in recent years.
"It's not a big secret that Lindsay needs money," a friend of the LiLo tells me. "She makes most of her cash selling stories or photographs to the magazines and tabloids, but that is nowhere near the sort of cash she used to earn as an actress. The real problem is that every penny she earns she spends. She's always buying new clothes and shoes from expensive stores. There's no one in Lindsay's life telling her she can't afford it. It's a problem almost as serious as her drug addiction."

Judge Patricia Schnegg better pray that lohan doesnt hurt herself while out on bail. Otherwise the judge will have to live with her mistake by giving lohan bail and releasing her. She should have stayed in jail for at least a month and then straight to rehab for a year. Lohan has to be given tough love and nothing is tougher then jail. Scare her so bad that she doesnt ever want to risk getting thrown in the clinker again.

If you are RICH. Or a money Machine like her. You can get treated not like the Persons that Broke their Parole. There are many in Jail for doing what she did.I just hope she doesn't kill herself and some one with her or Innocence By Standers. GOOD LUCK to her and may GOD BLESS.

This is just a waste of tax payers money with all this court stuff. She has a drug problem plain and simple. Her drug problem is NO different than anybody elses. They should make her go to a long term in-patient facility or do a long spell in jail just like they would do a regular American with a problem. They would have busted me up by now. Its just stupid.

From my perspective, Lindsay's drug use is a victimless crime. She's only hurting herself. Wasting taxpayer dollars with all these trials and putting her is jail is a worse crime than her drug use. Also, I think all the people who are jumping on the bandwagon condemning her are a bunch of pious, self-righteous, condescending azzes. Being a child star and having two idiots for parents can really mess a kid up. I did things I shouldn't have done when I was a kid and I bet 95% of the people condemning her did the same.

It'll be 'victimless' right up until she hits and kills/hospitalizes someone because she's driving under the influence. She broke the law and she needs to be punished for it. The constant revolving-door approach has done nothing.
And keep in mind, she's been arrested for DUI at least twice so far.
Dar, Half of all motor vehicle accidents involve alcohol. That means half of all motor vehicle accidents don't involve alcohol. So all the bashing of those who drink and drive is rather stupid. It makes as much sense to condemn those who don't drink and drive as much as it does to bash those who do drink and drive. Some people don't like to see other people having fun; that's the reason drinkers who get into accidents are condemned while non-drinkers who get into accidents do not get condemned.
i think that lindsay is not news the media is also about money. the media never talks about the homeless or the needy,or the volunteers that help these people. instead of printing some garbage about the so call celebrities they should be doing something productive. and keep your minds off trash.

Loser Lindsay the spoiled piece of dog crap. Rehab won't help her she doesn't want help and she consistently thumbs her nose at authority thinking that she's funny. She's as funny as cancer. When will these judges and authority figures grow a set and give her the punishment she deserves. She's broke, a drug addict, an alcoholic, in short she nothing but a big low life loser who they'll find one day dead from an overdose.

As a black woman, I think white women like Lindsay get special treatment. If I was arrested for cocaine, and running over some child, I would be in jail. Lindsay keeps saying she's an addict, but well so what? Stop taking so many drugs.

No voluntary rehab. go straight to jail. forfiet all right and privildges by using drugs and alcohol. Die young because your stupid. You are bankrupting not only yourself b=t=h but your family. no one should be supporting your habits. your "friends" are more dangerous to you than anything else. too bad the court system can't enhance your misdeamnor charge everytime you violate your probation. Once it got to felony probation violation you would have to stay in state jail.

rehab doesnt work, I knew it was a matter of time before she landed back in jail but that was fast. She needs a good long stretch in jail to sober and scare her strait, but if they wana put her in this luxury hotel (rehab) when she gets out,shes gona screw up again lol
