Justin Timberlake Spreads Fears That He's Burnt Out on Music

Justin Timberlake isn't done with music yet, but he's not in a rush to get back until it feels right.

"Does a painter make a painting because he has to make it by December 21st?" Timberlake asked EW in a cover story interview. "No, he doesn't. It happens when it pours out of him. That's how music is for me..."

Timberlake, along with his cast of geek emperors in 'The Social Network,' spoke to the magazine about hype behind the movie debuting this weekend, and more specifically about Timberlake's transition into moviemaking and when (rather if) he plans on returning to music.

When EW mentioned how Christina Aguilera went on hiatus for four years between two albums and it blew up in her face, Timberlake emphasized nothing is for sure from this point on.

"I never stop making music," Timberlake retorts. "I don't know what else to tell you, except that I just don't know [in] what capacity I want to be involved anymore."

Bottom line though: Justin Timberlake wants to experiment and chase whatever inspires him for the time being.

"I grew up in a generation that was like, 'why not do everything?'" Timberlake says. "I grew up in a family where they said, 'Why do everything if you have the opportunity?'"

Timberlake talked about the challenge of getting the role of Sean Parker in 'The Social Network,' and the fact that being a pop star doesn't make it all that much easier to break into Hollywood.

"I did a marathon of testing for the film," Timberlake says. "I tested more than anyone. I have to fight against my music career--I'm cognizant of that. But I didn't care. I loved the part and I wanted to do work with David [Fincher] so bad that I was like, 'We can read this scene butt naked if you guys want.'"

Justin Timberlake is a joke. Please all of you saying he is so talented. Please listen to those vocals. Ok he has won "ish" for the boy band crap and a solo gig but still those vocals....This is America and when you are a part of the majority hey even with bad vocals you can win. He so through Janet Jackson under the bus. All grinding with her on that super Bowl halftime event. When their little joke didn't work (still a part of the majority) you win!! He scramed like a roach. Folks please remember He reach up and grabbed her little top thing off her hands were at her side. Still he wins????? WTF!!! He sucks and needs soms Cocoa butter on that ashey looking hair.
