Michael Lohan: My Son Is Being Used as a 'Pawn'

This week, the usually quiet Michael Lohan Jr. emerged and spoke out against so-called "enablers" and "leeches" that have plagued his sister, Lindsay Lohan, and who have presumably made the star's recovery from drug addiction tougher. No scandal there, right? Wrong, as the college grad's father Michael Lohan is now lashing out (yes, again) at ex-wife Dina, accusing her of using their son as a "mouthpiece" and "pawn" for her "BS."

"Being that Dina has been gagged due to her constant lies to the press, media, public, courts and people in general, she is using a normally quiet and innocent person as her mouthpiece," Lohan tells PopEater in a fiery statement. "First, to spread her BS, and second as her new pawn."

Why is Lohan feeling bruised and not happy that his namesake is sticking up for Lindsay, currently in rehab? It could be because of something the younger Michael did NOT say.

Michael Jr.'s statement on Wednesday to PEOPLE was filled with hopeful language, but it made a point to extract his father from mentions of family-based support. "We -- her mother, brothers, and sister -- have been there for Lindsay every step of the way -- despite what trashy news reports -- and will continue to give her our support and strength during these arduous times."

The elder Michael also issues complaints that Dina is corrupting his son into shunning a life in business for an acting career.

"While my wonderful son studied as a straight-A business major in college -- and I got him offers from two Wall Street firms -- Dina now has been pitching a movie she is 'producing' with Michael as the starring role. Michael is the best person Dina has in her corner and she is even using him. Her own son! And it goes deeper! How sick is this."

This week, Michael also made the claim that Dina was conspiring to put their troubled daughter under a conservatorship, so he is considering filing a petition himself.

"It is being worked on and NO I will not be conservator but I will be damned if [manager] Lou Taylor or Dina are co-conservators," he told us. "I just want Lindsay's life and career to be guided by people who are in it with their hearts, NOT their hands."

With that comment, Michael makes it clear he believes his ex-wife is trying to manage their daughter's money and affairs, but he tells us she is no condition to do the job.

Speaking of leeches. How about Dina earning all her income from Lindsay? How about Dina's innocent mother "Nana," who Dina uses the money she gets from Lindsay to support? How about her ex-con brother Paul (who defrauded the 911 Victims fund for $1,000,000) and borrowed $50,000 from Dina but never paid it back? How about Dina's security "forces" paid for by Lindsay? And how about ME? Who never took or borrowed one cent from Lindsay? Instead, I gave Dina the house with over $1,000,000 in equity, [as well as] $250,000 to cover the expenses for three years. While Dina owes my family over $100,000 and landscapers, contractors, the pool company!"

I knew that son didn't make that public statement about Lindsay on his own accord. It makes since Dina would put him up to it because she knows she has zero credibility in the media. Her brother just stated the obvious, nothing profound; we know she's surrounded by enablers.

Carla, my thoughts exactly! I didn't for once believe he came forward and made this statement on his own. The mother is such a flake, the sister has no credibility, and the father loves the press. The mother seems to be the biggest leech of them all! What a poor excuse for a mother. It is a shame the son couldn't break away from the Lohan nuts and do something positive with himself.

It does seem as though Dina is in more denial than her daughter, and she is the biggest enabler for her daughter.

She sits down with Matt Lauer, and instead of saying, “I have gone to parties with her so I could sleep with famous actors. Shared my daughter’s drugs, and I am the reason she thinks she is above the law. As a child I let her negotiate with me on bedtime, how late to stay out, homework, etc. She knew she was above mom & dad, so I’m the reason she has grown into thinking she’s above the law. I have ruined her. Now I’m going to do the same with my son.” Until she says something close to that, she needs to back up, and get out of her daughter’s life.

So sick of this family, it seem no one will suppport each other, their against each other, maybe they should work together, all of them and maybe Lindsay could get better. I don't see that happening, until it is to late, then the blame game will start.

At least he is trying to do the right thing for his daugther. Yeah it took him a long time to do so but at least he is trying to now. And that is what matters. Her mother is nothing but a SELF SERVING BLOOD SUCKING LEACH who thinks of nobody but herself and will do anything to get what she wants. Including DESTROYING and KILLING her own daugther to achive that. Lindsay one of the first step's to the road to recovery is to get rid of the negtive infulances in your life and that would mean your MOTHER first. Then see how easy it is from there. Eduardo...I can't not believe that you are going to place blame on the father only. Michael Lohan has had his own troubles but the man is trying to do what is best for his daughter now. This is what counts at the moment. Dinah Lohan wouldn't know what was right for her daughter if it up and smacked her in the face. She is the biggest enabler in Lindsays life right now. Dinah needs to be removed from Lindsays life. I hope that Dinah doesn't not have control or get control of Lindsays money (whats left of it). Dinah is a leech living off her daughter.

It will not work, we all know better.
Jr. should tell his mom to blow away, then move far away from both parents before they ruin him too. They have that poor guy so confussed with lies about his sister.
It never helps anyone child, no matter the age, when the parents make excuse, after excuse for her.
When my kids mess up, they mess up, plain and simple, no excuses cut it.
My kids all are grown and have good jobs. They will never be rich most likely, but their happy, healthy and have never been locked up.
