Mariah Carey, 'Oh Santa!' -- Song Premiere

Picking up where her 1994 hit 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' left off, Mariah Carey will be releasing a brand new holiday album, 'Merry Christmas II You,' on Nov. 2. The record includes four original songs written by Carey, including 'Oh Santa!', the album's first single.

Jingling bells and a plea to Santa open the upbeat, festive track that has Carey wishing that he'll bring her back her "baby" for Christmas. 'Merry Christmas II You' also features a new recording of 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' and some traditional holiday tunes, including 'The First Noel,' 'Little Drummer Boy,' 'O Little Town of Bethlehem' and 'O Come All Ye Faithful.'

whenever I was down at Christmas, all I had to do was put, " all i want for christmas is you" in the cd player and it cheered me up. It sounds like I have another song now too. Thank you Mariah! Great songs!

Like SAM says...It's too noisy, too repetitive and too loud.
Personally, in the Jargon of the younger set, it SUX. She sounds like she is racing to get to the finish. Slow Christmas Songs are the way to go.....they last. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, regardless! And, YES, I say Merry Christmas, NOT happy holidays. Not 'Far Out' but 'Way in'.

I am siding with Sam; I know, it's not popular but there is way too much background noice and music; her voice sounds like she's mumbling. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

what a happy song! it made me smile again and again. high notes at the end were beautiful. it has a bit of that phil spector sound with some cheerleading thrown in to update it. overall, a really nice and upbeat production. i'll definitely buy the cd. can't wait.
