Police arrested CBS News correspondent Howard Arenstein and his wife, along with reporter Orly Azoulay, Saturday for drug possession with intent to distribute.Eleven marijuana plants each over eight feet tall were found in the backyard of the couple's home, according to RadarOnline.com. Each plant, police say, could produce up to one pound of pot.
An anonymous tip led to the arrests, Radar reports. Cops also found drug paraphernalia inside the house.
Arenstein is an award winning journalist for CBS News radio.

Debbie quit being a political correct female dog,go outside and smell the coffee. You're probably another welfare case not having anything to do but correcting people.I understood what the article said,CANT YOU CHUBBY ?
"Eleven marijuana pants each over eight feet tall were found in the backward of the couple's home"... I think the writer here had his Cheerios with bong water.

And your point is? They had 11 very tall plants and even had drug paraphernalia inside the house.
At least he spelled "plants" and "backyard" correctly.
The point Leon, is if I can grow it in my backyard it shouldn't be illegal for me to do so. There was clearly NO intent to distribute in this case. That is strictly determined by weight, which is BS.
SO WHAT ELSE IS NEW? IT WAS A DUMB THING TO DO, AND NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. HE SHOULD HAVE HAD DOZENS OF PLANTS IF HE WAS DOING DRUGS.

Major bummer.

Well he must not have considered 11 plants to be all that "News worthy"!
But, Hey he is a big boy and somewhat a "Man" of the world so he knew the consequences! Like Mary said it was stupid.....If you are growing to distribute, then you need more than 11 plants regardless of the height!

I don't think it was right for him to intend to sell it, hell with his career, he shouldn't need the dough. However, if it was for personal use, who cares! I, along with millions of others in this world, do as I please and will be damned if I let someone, including higher authorities, tell me that I can not do it!

I laugh and laugh at all the tough people who go on the internet and write how brave they are. Such as Diana here; does anyone believe what she wrote? Nooooooooooooooooo. I can only guess Diana feels empowered and probably was abused as a child.
