Oksana Grigorieva: Mel Gibson Is a Depressed Lunatic

Mel Gibson's former girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, is speaking out about their relationship for the first time admitting she was scared for her life. In the exclusive PEOPLE interview, the Russian-born musician recalls one abusive incident last January in which she says Gibson hit her while she was holding their baby, Lucia. Gibson was "frothing at the mouth" and "talking to himself like a lunatic," Grigorieva claims. She even claims he threatened to take her life, choked her and held her at gun point.

In the interview, Grigorieva claims Gibson was "depressed" to the point of having "thoughts of suicide" and that he "would've killed himself many times if he wasn't Catholic." .... "He's afraid of hell."

"I thought he would kill me," says Grigorieva. She felt bullied by the actor and decided to tape all of Gibson's calls to protect herself. "I needed to document his threats." But she refutes Gibson's claim that she used the tapes to extort him, claiming she is "horrified" the tapes are even out there.

Gibson and Grigorieva are both under investigation, and the allegations could turn the fiasco into a messy two-way street -- claims of domestic violence against Gibson, claims of extortion against Grigorieva.

According to TMZ, Gibson agreed to pay his former girlfriend approximately $15 million if she agreed to "turn over all evidence and represent and warrant that all evidence has been turned over and all evidence will be destroyed in a manner agreed upon by both parties."

Last week, a judge has determined that the Oscar winner should be paying his ex-girlfriend $20,000 in child support payments each month -- instead of $5,000. Grigorieva still claims she is "severely in debt" but had to stand up "to a bully who is a rich and famous."

She still wants Gibson to be in their daughter's life. "I'm not angry at him," she says. "For the sake of Lucia, I really want him to be well. He has to have the courage to be responsible for what he's done."

I seriously doubt any of her accusations, simply due to the fact that so many people have tried to cash in on celebrities like this before. She seems to be trying to make money off her stint with Mr. Gibson, so that makes me think she is fake gold digger going after money she doesn't deserve.

First, I have to question why she would hang out with a crazy, depressed, abusive, alcoholic (doesn't say a lot about her character)... Let alone procreate with him (why would you want your baby's father to be unstable and nuts?).
Did she think she could "fix" him? The obvious answer is, she was looking for a big PAY-DAY, and a business baby was her objective. I feel sorry for the child, because her mother is a bought and paid for calculative/manipulative wh_re who will boink anyone to get paid... Not caring about who she effects... In this case him, his X, his kids (all 10(?) of them), her kid... they are all family now!

If Mel is crazy or not, his words spoke volumes of how he really feels about people.
His girl friend was a terrible choice. He could have had almost anyone, and choice that. The Courts may make a ruling giving him only visitation with supervision...Seen it done before...I hope they take into account how each of these two act through out the whole fiasco and make a decision based on the benefit of the child.

From what she says, (and male or female, a spouse is not always the best person to analyze, because their interpretation is clouded because of directly involving themselves) and what many others including his first wife have said. Alcohol is his problem. When alcohol isn’t consumed, none of this other behavior exists.

They say even self-pity and self-destruction occur when he's drunk, so it appears he's been drunk the majority of 4 years and progessing quickly.

Go to an inpatient alcohol rehab Mr. Gibson. Six months. No less, and be done with this bizzare behavior.

i agree. hes awful. we all heard those tapes. u cant make that up. & all the things hes said & done before. i mean do i have to bring up sugart1ts??? hes a maniac. hes unstable. to even leave his wife after 25 yrs & his kids for this woman who i am not saying is 100% credible..that shows hes going through something. hes a drunk & he needs help. & what if she is not lying & he did hold her at gunpoint & choke her..thats NOT ok. i dont care if shes a golddigger or not. shes a person. & if its true..hes a killer.

Though you stated it very crudely, I do believe your view to be correct. I also believe the bimbo had reason to fear for her life. The tapes made it clear, Mel is a nut case. Needs to stay off the booze. Made him look like a lunatic.

They are both questionable in character, but just because he is an alcoholic who likes young women, doesn't justify her conniving ways. She ought to keep her Octo-mom looking face out of the media and take care of her meal-ticket child.
