Girlicious Singer Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Charge

Natalie Mejia, a member of the pop group Girlicious, has pleaded guilty to felony cocaine possession and has received a deferred judgment that could result in the charge being dismissed.

Mejia was arrested on March 9 in Glendale, Calif., after police said they found 13 bags of cocaine in her Gucci purse during a traffic stop.

Los Angeles district attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison says Mejia entered the plea Wednesday in a Pasadena courtroom. A trial on a charge of possession with the intent to sell had been scheduled for this week.

Robison says Mejia will be required to undergo counseling and attend classes for the next 18 months. If she completes the deferred judgment program, the felony charge will be cleared from her record.

Girlicious was founded by Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin, who featured the group on the CW's reality competition 'Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.' Their songs include 'Stupid S***' and 'Baby Doll,' both released from their 2008 self-titled album.

oh great article This person should have been put in JAIL for an extended period of time....same should happen to Everyone that are caught with drugs....Do we have a "War" on drugs or not???? Decriminalize possession. Our prisons are bursting with drug users and small time pushers. The war on drugs is a miserable and a total failure. Drugs are relatively cheap and readily available. This wouldn't change even had they thrown this psuedo celebrity in jail for twenty years.

Judges in CA are a joke an make it tuff on good judges in other states. Also makes it hard on parents trying to get there kids do right,while they watch white trash celebs do what ever an get away with it.
