Penny Lancaster had a motherly glow on Wednesday evening at the Breast Cancer Care's 2010 Fashion Show in London and showed off her growing baby bump on the red carpet. The child, due early next year, will be Rod Stewart's eighth and their second together. In August, the rock legend and his third wife announced she was expecting.
"We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy's 40th birthday," the couple told PEOPLE.
Stewart and Lancaster wed in Portofino, Italy, in 2007.
Last year, Stewart told the British press that he and his third wife, 38, were hoping to add more children to his brood.

Rod have another batch of kids, when they grow up they can go to the rehab alma matter of the older ones.

I wonder who the father is?

Isn't that the truth, can't imagine anyone wanting to have sex with the dirty old man Rod, lmao.
Pam...it's doubtful Rod Stewart is changing any dipers...

He looks like he has a "rod" bulging out of his pants!!

Rod does look good for his age, and that wife has some set of cans! But that being said, it's ridiculous for a 65 year-old man to have a kid! I guess on the brighter side: at least his estate will have plenty of cash, and one day, so will that kid.

Apparently no one saw Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew when Rod's son was on...Rod was NOT portrayed well at all as a father

Pamela is right. The man will be dead before the kid is 18. Money can't buy you your dad. He's too old to go run after the ball with the kids. Look at Michael Douglas who has throat cancer right now and 2 kids under the age of 10. Do you think it's fair to the kids that dad is in his 60's, that's the age when people start getting cancers and diseases. These diseases happen to older people, not the younger one's and we all know that. It's very selfish and a desire to want to live forever, and to try to feel younger that these men have younger wives and kids with them. Medicine hasn't evolved to where we can all live to be 100. If you think you will, think again.

A few years ago South Park did an episode featuring Rod Stewart doing a concert there. He was wheeled out in a wheel chair and only groaned as the band played. The crowd went wild!
I think it's funny that HER age was mentioned in the article but not his. For the record, he's 63 and will be 64 by the time the child is born. The kid will probably be fatherless by the time he/she reaches 15. He should have stopped at 5 (much less 6, 7, and 8!).

There's nothing more fragile and at times more pathetic than the male ego.

Hate to say it as an older first time father but the naysayers have a point. Will Rod have the stamina to change a diaper at 3am or stay up for 2 days straight when the toddler has a fever of 103? Swapping out cold packs and tepid baths and administering tylenol every 4 hrs. Will he take him to the park or somewhere fun 4-5 days a week? Read a book to him, teach him the alphabet. Now fastforward 10 years, will he play baseball with him at 75? I'm the single youngest looking and most energetic 47 year old I've ever known (not being vain, simply genetics) and I have to choke down Red Bulls to run my home business from midnight til 7am, sleep 3 hours and wake to play with him at 10, drive him to preschool 3 days a week. Rod is 20 years my senior and I bet he can't do 20% of what I'm doing. It is a case of just because you can doesn't mean you should. Having another to have a playmate for the first is the wrong reason to have a child by the way. Until he began preschool last month, my son's playmate was me!

Now this is rare, they are married and expecting a child. Don't they normally get married after the children are born or at least that seems to be the trend in Hollywood. And obviously Rod Stewart realizes he is probably not going to be around to enjoy this baby when it's older but at least he has the money to see to it that his children are taken care of.

who gives a crap...why don't you all worry about your own lives!

Nothing like helping to over populate an already crowded world. That will be his eight child. Plus he is getting a little old for this kind of stuff!
