'Two and a Half Men' Star Becomes Richest Kid on TV

You may only know Angus T. Jones as "the half" from CBS' 'Two and a Half Men,' but that likely doesn't faze him now that he's filthy rich. Jones, who turned 17 on Friday, became the highest paid kid on TV after he signed a 26-episode deal worth $300,000 per episode and $7.8 million guaranteed total for the next two seasons. Oh, and he also got a $500,000 signing bonus,
TMZ reports.
That's not all the "half" could earn, however, since that deal just includes the
guaranteed money. In the end, Jones could rake in $14.8 million from two full-season orders of 48 episodes.
However, that's nothing compared to what his leading co-stars got.
Charlie Sheen signed a $52 million deal for the next two seasons, while Jon Cryer is
making a little more than half of that.
While Jones, as the gassy Jake, isn't even the star of his own show, he's still earning more than
Miley Cyrus, Miranda Cosgrove and Demi Lovato combined, according to figures in the
New York Post. The 16-year-old Cosgrove, from 'iCarly,' earns $180,000 per episode, while Cyrus, 17, earns $15,000 from 'Hannah Montana' and Lovato, 17, earns $12,000 on 'Sonny with a Chance.' Miley, of course, also has a major music career on the side, which helped her earn $48 million total in the last year, according to
Forbes.
The article also reports Jones started acting when he was five years old and has his eyes set on college, but doesn't know if he wants to continue acting after the hit CBS show wraps up.

CBS has made a cottage industry of mediocrity.
Never liked the show, that is way too much money for all the cast.

Wonder why you weren't consulted before the contracts were signed...
All the friends actors were paid in the millions per episode. So was the Seinfeld cast...AND that was 20 years ago..I don't think he is getting paid enough...The Show has an extremely large audience!
The show is funny, if anyone can stand to look at charlie for 30 minutes.
I have a tough time doing that myself.

I'd feel so dirty after watching him for two minutes I'd have to take a shower.
He was a guest star on Hannah Montana this year. Wonder what he got paid. It always pays a lot more to be on a big network show and I think if Disney would have paid Miley what she deserved there would be more Hannah. But none of the cable shows have a big budget like NBC, CBS, etc. But like you said, Miley has a major music career, plus movies too and 48 Million Dollars a year is, well I could live on it.

Miley is well on her way to be the next tramp d'jour
Hey frankerin, you are just that weirdo geezer Miley hater from before. Yeah, I remember ya'
You are wrong Miley is a ho
Good for the kid! I only hope someone who loves him is teaching him how to invest his riches & not just live off him & spend, spend, spend! Listen to this, Angus!

And I hope someone who loves him has taught him better values than the ones these scripts immerse him in. The one problem I have in laughing hysterically at some of the stuff Jake says is that this kid had to grow up AWFULLY fast as a result of this show. I hope he doesn't consider Charlie Sheen any kind of role model!
Can't stand the show and Charlie's head is way too big for his shrimpy body.
Can't wait till he O.D.

OMG! There are people who can't pay their bills after a long, hard days work and children in our own country starving to death and elderly homeless. This kid gets so much money and he can't even act! It is sickening!
In about 10-15 years you will see him in the obits from an overdose.

Really? that was an awful thing to say. What a horrible remark!
People struggling to pay bills, children starving, etc. has nothing to do with how much this person gets paid to do their JOB.
If you're concerned about people who are struggling to pay bills, children starving etc. Please, do what you can to help. I'm sure they would appreciate it. And perhaps it would make you feel better as well.
You cannot lay the world's problems at the feet of those who have paved their way and obtained jobs that offer the opportunity to make a lot of money.
And having a job that pays well does not predispose him to a future overdose. It is so sad that you would say that. I hope that his parents never read anything that hurtful about there son.
