Ozzy Osbourne is bearing down on the infamous Westboro Baptist Church for using his song 'Crazy Train' during protests of gays in the military, E! Online reports.
After the small church used his 1980 hit at a demonstration on Thursday at the U.S. Supreme Court, the Prince of Darkness couldn't hold his tongue any longer.
"I'm sickened and disgusted by the use of 'Crazy Train' to promote messages of hate and evil by a 'church,'" Ozzy said in a statement.
The Kansas-based church was in Washington because the Supreme Court is set to review a ruling that awarded $5 million to the family of Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, whose funeral Westboro protested. The church appealed, and now it's going to the high court.
At this week's protests, church members turned Ozzy's song into a hate-mongering chant: "You're going straight to hell on your crazy train."
Of course, the song doesn't contain such lyrics. Instead, the metal hit is a plea for tolerance and understanding. The first line:
Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate
To all of the people attacking the Muslim faith, take a look at these "Christians". Religious "nuts" are found in every religion. Those who spread hate and intolerance and hide behind their so-called faith, are the worst of the worst.
I haven't seen anyone attack the Muslim faith, they're too afraid for one thing. As evil as this group is, they haven't murdered yet, that we know of. They don't keep slaves, chop the arms off of 8 year old boys who take a piece of bread because they're starving, their women apparently can drive & don't have to wear burkas. They aren't stoning people to death, just being major pains in the butt. Please, keep things in perspective.
religion isnt the only issue i dont think religion is bad its a faith that alone gives it plus's and minus's i have nothing against relifious peoples in fact theres a part of me that has adoration for them for haivng what i can't for one reaosn or another but the issue here should be these footwashing babtists these people who have been taght and raised and made to belive that everybody who doesnt belive what they belive will burn in hell in a sad way there noble homosexuality has existed as long as hetrosexuality and its time we stop treating it like a deasise and if you belive that religion is the problem then ask yourself this ,what is the belif in science is it not just a form of faith of belif even atheism its still represented in the ideal of a positive theroy
The Westboro Baptist Church is scary. A bunch of hateful hypocrites. They need to draw attention to themselves, since they have like 12 members who are all family. I think the only way to make them shut up is for the media to totally ignore them. If there is a god, I'm sure he is pretty ashamed of these idiots.
Also, so everyone knows - we are all evil and going to hell. Unless you join their church of course.
All right for a man that knows how to tell them when he has had enough. My cousin is a HUGE fan of yours and I like a lot of your songs as well. You now have another Houston fan for taking back your music to say "it's only for Normal humans."
This has nothing to do with religion. This church is made up by family members who just pick and choose lines from the bible to make what they say sound just. This is not a church, its a cult. they have no say in who goes to hell, if anything they are going to hell from all the hate they spread.
Amen. If anything we should witness to THEM. Because yeeeeah Heaven doesn't seem to be in their future, if what they do reflects what's in their hearts. Jesus loves you, people!
Maybe if we counter-protest them with GOD LOVES YOU signs, it will confuse them into submission.
Why do these crazy people keep making the rest of us Christians look bad? It ruins the work everyone else does.
And to everyone saying organized religion is destroying us, that's a stock excuse and you can do better than that. I'd like to present a different theory. These people are clearly not doing God's work. God doesn't hate us. On the contrary; God loves us infinitely more than we can imagine, and not only does He want what's best for us, He knows what's best for us and is more than willing to give it to us. I think if everyone truly did follow God in the way we were MEANT to, without all this hate and sin, then there would be far less problems in the world. Hot messes like this? You only see this because we've strayed away from what's right.

Those people are nuts. What the hell does one thing have to do with the other? They all need a mandatory mental evaluation.
