Taylor Swift's Ex-Manager: Victim of a Conspiracy?

Since 2007,
Taylor Swift's former manager has quietly waged a war with the singer's parents, who he claims cheated him out of millions by firing him just before she achieved major commercial success,
THR, Esq reports.
Dan Dymtrow signed Swift in 2004, when she was 14, and claims in court papers to have steered the singer on the path to stardom before Scott and Andrea Swift allegedly conspired to shut him out to avoid paying the 5-10 percent commission he was promised.
Dymtrow claims that he introduced Swift to Scott Borchetta, CEO of Big Machine Records, who eventually signed the singer.
In a letter submitted to a New York federal judge on Wednesday, Dymtrow's attorney, Fernando Pinguelo, sites an August 2006 e-mail from Scott Swift to Borchetta that gives the appearance that the two conspired to fire the manager.
"Enough with the Dymtrow," Scott Swift allegedly wrote. "You asked me to break both his legs, wrap him in chains and throw him in the lake. I did."
Dymtrow believes the e-mail shows Taylor Swift dissolved her contract with him so that she wouldn't have to pay him for deals that he initiated.
But the Swifts claim the contract was canceled in 2005 because Dymtrow never obtained the necessary court approval to manage a minor. A year later, she released her first single, 'Tim McGraw' and has since gone on to monster success.
"For him to claim that her success and her major contracts were procured by him is ludicrous," said Swift's lawyer, Paul LiCalsi of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp. "And even if there were some merit to his claims, paying him on the contract would defeat the whole purpose of the law in New York, which is to protect minors who sign contracts."

Whoever made her a "Star" is a genius.
This poor girl couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.

I agree the girl can not sing.
All her songs sound the same. Even Miley Cyrus is way better than Taylor Swife.
Well of course I agree about Miley being better, but Taylor is a great singer and songwriter too. Taylor Swift is sexy hot with a good voice.
I agree. Can't sing, can't write songs, has all the grace of a newborn giraffe and the face of a ferret.
When you start using terms like "And even if there were some merit to his claims", usually means there is some truth to the suit. Doesn't sound like a minor sign a contract if her parents where there with her. Pay up.

I hope her 15 minutes is winding down. I'm SICK of her!

Her father is a Merrill Lynch employee. Nuff said.

Hum...a lot of people out to slam Taylor Swift it seems. The girl's been writing songs since at least 12 and was the youngest ever honored by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, some of whose members are in their 90's. I remember Bob Dylan catching the same flack, but who remembers the names of the people scrapping for money after his success? Have you guys ever actually LISTENED to her albums?

If the contract was legally voided what claim can be made? Just because he helped make her a star means nothing. Sour Grapes. That's Showbiz.

How ungreatful of the Swift family to diss this man. Seriously if he made something out of her no singing voice then this man deserve a load of money. They should pay him.

They need to pay this man. He provided a service and should be paid. I'm sure eveyone involved knew what they were doing when signing. They wanted fame and fortune. And now that they got it, they feel they did all the work themselves. How selfsih of this family.
