Jane Lynch hosted 'Saturday Night Live' this week, and in last night's episode, the 'Glee' star hit a series of high notes in sketches with Andy Samberg. The 50-year-old host kicked off with a strong monologue (let's nevermind that bizarre off-one-shoulder coat), during which she and Fred Armisen sang with gusto about Sue Sylvester -- an admittedly "terrible!" ditty she nevertheless hoped would become the theme song for 'Glee.'
The TV star has a background doing live improv with Second City, and her confidence was evident. But it was during three 'SNL' bits co-starring Andy Samberg -- in which she played a mom who discovers Facebook, an inappropriate therapist, and a hausfrau with a hankering for one-night stands -- that she shone brightest.
Check out the new 'Damn it, My Mom is on Facebook' Filter (which unfortunately does not actually exist) here. And after the jump, more clips featuring the newly minted comedy team of Lynch & Samberg.

Jane is funny! but enough already, its getting to the point of overkill, and its wearing thin. Stick to Glee.

Jane was HYSTERICAL! Too bad Kristen Wiig RUINED some of Jane's skits!!!
I loved the 'GLEE' spoof last night...when they showed Kenan Thompson as Mercedes...LOL...excellent!
Bite your lip, John...Jane is a breathe of fresh air on the
screen, I can't get enuf of watching her....you know and
understand how to click the remote, don't you???
(hmmmm- prob'ly not !)
I agree with you about Lynch. She and Betty White both need to vanish for a while. It was still the best SNL I've seen in a couple of years.
Jane Lynch was great. I enjoyed the whole show. The Glee sketch was a riot even with gilly. I feel sorry for Fred Armisen, he looks like he's suffering from a bad case of break up weight loss.

Ms. Lynch is also a regular on 2 and One Half Men where she plays Charlie Sheen's therapist. She is very funny & was even nominated for an Emmy for her role.

When I post something, I am informed that an e-mail has been sent to verify my address, however, it never arrives. Are you censoring even hints of anti gay and lesbian views?

If you use any derogatory or swear words, then no, an email won't be sent. You can censor yourself, that might work.
They also don't post stuff which is TOO intelligent.
I get lots of stuff not posted.
No, I'm not flattering myself.
SNL basically sucks anymore. Bruno Mars was excellent.

Jane Lynch was fantastic. AND AHAHAHAHA Oh my god, I'm watching Sunday Night Football and having trouble containing myself! What(Jane Lynch did a parody of the SNF theme song on SNL)
What more fitting for football than a woman singing in a field.

I love Jane Lynch and I'm glad she's finally getting the props she deserves. It too bad I'm not gay and that she's married. I'd jump her bones in a red-hot minute.
