'Sister Wives' Polygamist Weds Wife No. 4

A big love making waves on reality TV just got bigger.

Despite being investigated by the state of Utah for felony bigamy, Kody Brown has married a fourth wife, a source tells TMZ.

And now TLC, the network behind 'Sister Wives,' the reality series about Brown and his polygamist household, has confirmed the marriage report, according to E! Online.

Robyn Sullivan, a single mom of three who's depicted on the series as a fiancee getting to know the family, reportedly tied the knot with Brown in May. Yesterday, the two were spotted by Radar shopping for jewelry and perfume at a mall, where "they were greeted like rock stars."

The network doesn't plan to air footage of the private ceremony, but in the season finale episode, viewers will get to see the wedding reception.

Brown, an avowed fundamentalist Mormon, was raising 13 children with three wives in one household at the time of the latest wedding.

Once 'Sister Wives' premiered on national television last month, officials in Utah launched an investigation into the brood, but so far, charges have not been filed. Producers insist they discussed the possibility of criminal charges with the Browns before embarking on shooting any episodes.

This is ridculous. I hate to see any woman whos as ignorant as these woman. They dont seem to realize, their being used in the worst way possible. I wished these people would be investigated, for the childrens sake. I hate for these kids to be exposed to this unusual life style. I wonder how the kids think? Are they being told that their life is very unusual, and no one else has 4 mothers, and 13 siblings?
I just wonder how all of these kids will react, when their grown up, and go out into the real world.
I hope the kids are being exposed to other 'normal' families.
They need to know this is not alright, and in this country 3 or 4 wives is not legal, or needed.
I wory about all of those kids, and the way they live.

Donna, I totally agree with you and for TLC to put this type of immoral crap on tv is just irresponsible! I also feel so sorry for those kids who have no say in what these crazy people are doing.

I am glad they are being investigated for this because it is not something that should be happening especially if it is considered illegal.

TLC loses my respect more and more every year.

I totally agree with you. It is just wrong. Fundalmentalist Mormons to me is no different than being a Muslim. A muslim man has many wives. Except that over there in their messed up country it is legal. Here in the US it is illegal. If these people like that lifestyle I suggest they go live as Muslims in that nation, don a burqa and live the gospel according to Allah and follow the Koran. I figure these men would not let their wives bring home another man because in their eyes to them it would be wrong. Well.....what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Actually, one of the older girls, the black haired one, said that she didn't have a problem with the lifestyle but it wasn't for her and she intended to be married to only one guy! She was telling that to Robyn the new wife.

I suppose you all think exposing kids to a gay marriage is normal and ok, what a joke

Most of the kids do undertstand that they have a different kind of family. But being that live in an area where polygamy is widely practiced, anything else would seem abnormal to them. They also attend a school where there are many other children with the same type of family life style.
In fact one daughter was shown in one of the episodes as saything that the this lifestyle was not for her. She decided she only wanted one husband and didn't want to be in a this type of relationship. Her parents all support her in this decision.
I don't understand why they would want to live like this either..I know I wouldn't. It is their choice and certainly not mine. However if you watch the show you will see that the kids are all happy, well-adjusted and well cared for. I think that is most important, no matter what lifestyle their parents choose. I don't agree with it necessarily but I do understand their points of view on certain areas. The show is interesting, despite your views on whether it is correct or legal. It's a trainwreck..LOL. But I can't stop watching.

Have you watched the show? All these women were raised in polygamist families. The kids are well aware they are not the "norm". They are very open about their way of life. It does not appear that the kids are abused in any way and are not brain washed. I don't necessarily agree with having multiple wives but it seems they are all happy and "normal".

let mr tell you one thing , one wife WAS a pain in the butt, who in the hell would want 4 of them and especially at the same time. My 1st cost me 988K & the 2nd and last one 20 years ago cost me 162K (what she stole). They screwed my credit up and financially put me in debt for a long time but now I am worth almost 4 MIL and will never be serious ever again, not a chance.

This is nothing more than an excuse for these loser men to validate wanting to sleep around. I have a huge problem with the whole double standard issue of polygamy. I'm curious to know what would happen if one of his "wives" came home, stating that they've "fallen in love again" and wanted to marry another man? How would he feel and/or receive that bit of news? Why is it o.k. for the men to do this, but not the women? It's a crock of crap, and these women deserve everything they get for putting up with it. Women have the same feelings as men, they are no less human - what's good for the goose should be good for the gander. If the husbands are allowed multiple partners, then the women should be allowed to sleep around and have "variety", too. Also....how in the world do they keep from getting STDs from all of the unprotected sex between them? I pity those children for growing up thinking that this is the "norm" and especially for the message that they're sending to the girls. This man is sick, and so are the women for putting up with it. UGH.

This just shows what a sick world we live in. I am refusing to watch any station that shows this crap on TV as it has no redeeming quality to it and the message to young women is perverse. That's what i'm saying. I've watched Big Love since it's 1st season but it's only a depiction. The 1st night I watched this show I was like how do these women keep themselves *ahem* in check?? I mean it's like sloppy seconds and thirds in that house. It's really quite gross and not a way that any woman should live her life. You can see that the 1st wife, Meri has a clear issue with the fact that she spends no time with her husband...and she's probably a throw away anyways, she only has one kid, in polygamy, the more kids you have, the better value you have. It's really quite crazy, entertaining nonetheless but crazy!
