Malaysian Adam Lambert Gig Protested for 'Gay Culture'

A Malaysian fundamentalist party is demanding the cancellation of a scheduled Adam Lambert concert, targeting the 'American Idol' singer's affiliation with "gay culture."

"Adam Lambert's shows ... are outrageous, with lewd dancing and a gay performance that includes kissing male dancers," Pan Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) youth leader Nasrudin Hasan told Reuters. "This is not good for people in our country." Malaysia registers homosexual sex as a criminal offense.

A party official told Reuters that PAS is threatening to drum up a bevy of its nearly 1 million members to speak to attendees of Lambert's concert, which is currently scheduled for Thursday. The group is the country's second largest political party.

PAS has protested appearances by acts like Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, and Gwen Stefani. In May, police broke up an Islamist demonstration protesting a concert by American rapper Pitbull.

The New York Times reports Lambert has already agreed to follow Malaysian performance guidelines, including staying roughly 25 feet from the audience and keeping his clothes on. The concert is booked for Putra Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur-neighboring Bukit Jalil.

This is really funny. The asian cultures are so gay that it's a joke to think America is sending them anything. I've spent lots and lots of time in various Asian cities... their cultures are very much gay, although much like the Arabs, it doesn't seem to exist in the eyes of the public.

To Jim: Jim, this has nothing to do with love. I've loved Adam as a human being and have loved his voice and singing ability since AI8, but I AM TIRED, TIRED, TIRED, OF SEEING HIM KISS MEN WHEN HE PERFORMS, and his acts are getting more raunchy. If I want to watch homosexuals do things to each other I can go to a gay bar (which I would NEVER do!!). Adam should keep his personal sexual life private and not flaunt it on stage, or push it on people. Sure, some people like the dirty stuff (I wonder why? hmmmmm.) But most don't. Adam used to say that it was all about the music, and that he didn't want to be referred to as the gay singer (my paraphrase),but IT'S NOT. It has turned out that it's all about the gay agenda, to make people accept something that is immoral and ungodly (I happen to believe that there is a God, who is holy and righteous, and who LOVES THE SINNER, but HATES SIN.) I love to hear Adam sing, he has an amazing voice, but I'm tired of the gross, sexual gay antics. Adam has crossed the line from being sexy to being raunchy and distasteful. You can be sexy without being dirty. Please Adam, keep your sexual life to yourself and just entertain us with your amazing voice and talent.

First, Adam has NEVER taken his clothes off during a concert so I don't even know why that was mentioned. Second, Adam gears his concerts towards the audience...there is a family friendly version, then there is the raunchy version. I went to a family friendly version after a recent ball game and there was NO kissing, no groping, and no raunchy. He's smart enough to know to play to the people who are watching. Don't like it...don't go!

So people still don't get it after many of years of homosexuals being killed and beaten and just being discriminated against. And still in to many places in the world this still happens. And even hear in the states our own government has issues "Gay Marriage".
