Carrie Fisher Used Cocaine on 'Empire Strikes Back'

While Princess Leia was blowing away stormtroopers with blasters on Planet Hoth on the set of 'Empire Strikes Back,' she was also snorting a little cocaine behind the scenes, it turns out.

"I didn't even like coke that much, it was just a case of getting on whatever train I needed to get high," actress Carrie Fisher told AAP Sydney.

The 53-year-old Fisher opened up in an interview with the Australian newswire to talk about her history of drug abuse, explaining how her dark side took over much of her life and career in the end.

Things only got worse for the former leader of the rebel alliance when she started hanging out with her boyfriend Dan Aykroyd's circle, which included John Belushi in the 'Blues Brothers' era.

"Slowly I realized I was doing a bit more drugs than other people and losing my choice in the matter," Fisher said.

Despite hardships on the brutal road to sobriety, it was a sense of humor that truly saved her.

"It wasn't as funny when a friend died in my bed from an overdose and it took a long time for that to be," Fisher said. "It's not funny still, but it's funnier and not as tragic."

Fisher is touring five different Australian cities from October to November doing an award-winning stand-up routine called 'Wishful Drinking.'

Seriously?...You couldn't find something a lil' more up 2 date 2 report about? Have you had your head in the sand? Carrie Fisher talked about being high on cocaine, heroine & everything else under the Sun while making that movie YEARS AGO & it's not like she was the only high cast member on that movie set. What celebrity wasn't getting high & hammerd? Cocaine was huge back then. This is waaaay old news.

Man what happened to this woman. This is Carrie Fisher?....at 53???.....Man she looks like she is in her late 60's or 70. At her still sort of middle age as to which she is not really that old at all at just 53 she should seriously contemplate plastic surgery of some kind. Surely there is somebody out there to at least make her look at least 50 again. The last time I saw her in A movie is when she had a cameo in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" as to which though it was 8 or 9 years ago she still looked older but a hell of a lot better than this. She is only 9 years older than me. Man let me tell you folks the pic tells the real truth....drugs kill. Carrie Fisher....please do something with yourself after you get off the tour.You can do and look a lot better than this.

Some people can say thats drugs made her look this way, it only shows their ignorance. We all will look older one day, if were lucky.

Carrie Fisher is a miserable b.i.t.c.h! For some psycho reason she hated her mother, Movie Star Debbie Reynolds, who was good to her and provided her with a good upbringing. She was like Carol Burnett's daughter Carrie Hamilton who fought with her mother about everything, and turned into a drug addict loser. Some people are born mentally unbalanced, negative and angry, which is the problem with the above two. They seemed determined to never be happy not matter what.
