While promoting 'Lost Boys: The Thirst,' Corey Feldman explained that Corey Haim's death last March was not due to a drug overdose as initially reported in the press. Instead, Haim died from a heart condition and from complications due to pneumonia, Feldman said on 'Today.'"It was reported ... that he died from a drug overdose, which, in fact, was not true," Feldman said. "He died of an enlarged heart and pneumonia. He had, in fact, been clean for a year and the autopsy results showed that. But, of course, it got buried in the press."
"He was a good boy," Feldman continued. "He was taking care of his very sick mom who had cancer. He was cooking for her, cleaning for her, taking care of her on a daily basis. They found no drugs in his system."

An enlarged heart is often a result of cocaine use, even once an addict gets sober...

And sometime an "enlarged heart" is caused from a virus.
Anybody who is thick enough to think he got an enlarged heart from a "virus" should be forcibly sterilized. Years of hard drug and alcohol abuse are no doubt the culprit.
Feldman got his doctorate where... what year??... Friggen non-talent spews something he knows nothing about....

And he would need a doctorate...why?...in what? Friggen simply explained what was observed, and tried to set the record straight of cause of death. Nothing more.
actually he's a pretty good actor
I'll always remember Corey Feldman for his wonderful portrayal of Little Joe on Bonanza.

Feldman needs to crawl under a rock until he ceases to exist. He owes us his nonexistance.

While he was clean at the time of his death, the years of abuse finally caught up with him. People who do drugs, drink, and abuse substances always think that nothing will happen to them. I've seen more die after getting into recovery than while they were out there using.

I could have told you that blindfolded.
As a medical professional an enlarged heart is usually a condition one is born with, however a person's heart may develop this condition from years of drug use. I had 2 relatives that were born with enlarged hearts. One died at 37 years old & the other at 75 years old.Neither used illegal drugs

Yes, in all likelihood, Corey Haim's enlarged heart *was* due to his years of drug abuse, and Feldman doesn't seem to be claiming otherwise - he's just clarifying that Haim didn't die of an overdose and was clean at the time of his death, which I suppose is a distinction worth making. The articles I've pulled up, however, report that he had 8 different drugs in his system at the time of his death, including marijuana, so Feldman may not have all his facts straight. Still, I guess if he's going to insist on using stories about his dead friend to promote his project, it's better that they're nice stories...

Why on earth is anyone giving Corey Feldman the spotlight? And he's wrong...it WAS reported that Haim died of an enlarged heart and pneumonia. Dumb@ss.

Pneumonia? Third person that I heard had pnemonia related deaths. The other 2 were Brittany Murphy and her husband. Can someone with medical experience tell me what is going on. Would drug use contribute somehow to being more susceptible to pneumonia?

my husband isn't a drug user and has a enlarged heart and medically is fine.
I think Oxycotton is more likely the cause ..sick and using a depressant stops the breathing.. He was a sick person and I sure if he could stop drugs he would of.. sad these actor choose living in LA to being well. No addict is going to get clean surrounded by partier and living in a party town like LA.
I sure he was a great son when he could be and a good person when he wasn't high. Its sad he couldn't find sobriety in his life. RIP!
