George Michael Sprung From Jail Early

George Michael is a free man. The 'Faith' singer was released Monday from a jail in England after serving 27 days of an eight-week sentence for crashing his car into a photo booth while under the influence of marijuana.

The 47-year-old star pleaded guilty on Sept. 14 to driving under the influence and possession of cannabis following a July 4 collision between his Range Rover and a Snappy Snaps photo store in north London.

District Judge John Perkins told the singer he had taken a "dangerous and unpredictable mix" of prescription drugs and marijuana.

While serving time, Michael issued a statement saying he was receiving "no special treatment of any kind."

Of course, this wasn't the first time that Michael -- real name Georgios Panayiotou -- has found himself in trouble with the law for drug-related mishaps. The Grammy winner was arrested in 2008 for possession after police caught him with drugs in a public restroom.

In 2007, his license was suspended after he hit three parked cars and fled the scene. His driving privileges were reinstated last year.

The most famous of his legal woes came in 1998 in a Los Angeles bathroom, where an undercover cop busted him for engaging in lewd acts.

I never understood why these megarich people didnt have a driver to get them around.He makes enough money from one concert to pay for a drivers salary for life.He could smoke his weed and snort his coke all he wants in the backseat and never get into trouble.

I wouldnt ever wish death on anyone.
Michael is old enough to know that dope will not get him any where, but in trouble. I dont have lots of sympathy for anyone who uses drugs. I really dont have any sympathy for rich people, like paris hilton, who uses cocaine.
With all the money, and resourses she has, to take cocaine is ridiculous. Theses people could do anything they want, but chose to use drugs... no symapthy at all from me.

So here they go again giving special treatment to celebs. When are they going to be treated like the rest of the population? That is when they will change their behavior. This freak probably got off on being locked up with all those guys, that's what he was busted for in LA. Trying to hook up in a park restroom, now for punishment the brits send him to jail so he can at least do it in his cell.
