Parents Up in Arms Over New Miley Cyrus Video

Miley Cyrus is at it again.

The 17-year-old teen queen, known for creating her share of sexual controversies, has angered the Parents Television Council with her new video, 'Who Owns My Heart,' TMZ reports.

"It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one," Tim Winter, the president of PTC, told TMZ.

"It sends messages to her fan base that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly," Winter added.

In the vid for her European-style single, Cyrus writhes around on a bed, walks around in her underwear and dirty dances among other scandalous actions. Watch

The 'Hannah Montana' star must be quite at home making people upset with her image.

Miley posed for Vanity Fair wearing just a sheet, showing off her bare back when she was just 15.

Right before the provocative photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz in Vanity Fair, pics of her posing suggestively with her underwear showing also leaked on the Internet, for which she later apologized.

But it didn't stop there. At the age of 16, she dated Justin Gaston, who was 20 at the time. (She recently split from her latest boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, also 20.)

Furthermore, her most recent film, the yet-to-be released 'LOL: Laughing at Loud,' features the singer-actress in a role where she reportedly loses her virginity, smokes pot, gets wasted, kisses two girlfriends on the lips and flashes her lady parts.

She looks awesome. The only reason why parents hate it is because 1) the wife wants to look like her, or 2) the husband wants to do her. Get over yourself.

UR right, but I think Miley is a great role model anyway because she is a strong take charge woman, loves her family, is repectful and gives back to society by supporting many charities. Unlike this Frank guy who is an idiot and never has anything to add except saying someone is a joke or prove it or some other lame 3 word post. Frank needs to go to school to learn more than 10 words.

JgleJne get your head out of that dark hole it is in....middle and high schools have had to ban certain moves on the dance floor and i only saw maybe one of those in this video. with that being said, parents need to realize that Miley is now a 17 yr and I dont think claims to be a role model for these little girls. Miley is no longer making new Hannah Montana as she wants to grow up. It is time for the parents to steer their children away from the grown-up Miley.
However...I wouldnt want my 17 yr old daughter acting like that.
Has everyone forgot Britney spears and what it was like when she was trying to grow up???

Miley Cirus is growing up just like the rest of us teenagers do. I wish people would just leave her alone!! She is not 14 years old anymore, she is a young teen who is experiencing new things! If you don't want 11 year olds watching this video, then don't let them!!! Miley is old enough to make her own decisions and she doesn't need the strict mom's out there telling her what to do with her life!!!!!

Seems she's copying Brittney Spears...like she's a brittney wanna be. Guess she doesn't want to be washed up at 18 but I do think b/c of her fans that got her this far, she is moving way too fast and being way too explicit...totally alienating all the fans that made her popular...NOT a good way to thank them.

Incredible video...Miley's best so far...wasn't a huge fan,
didn't care one way or another but now I am sold. I really
like Miley. As far as those who think it's too much...well
maybe for toddlers or whatever, that's your biz to raise your kids. Miley has every right to broaden her audience and appeal
to an older demographic. The Disney stuff and this...I'ts
apples & oranges.

to momof8910...she IS still making hannah montana. They live in a new house, Lilly lives with her, Oliver is off the show basically and she shares her room with Miley and her horse.

There are no new Hannahs being made. If you knew anything about Miley you would know they already had the wrap party for the final season. Disney is just slowly releasing the last shows because they want to keep more viewers of the biggest show they ever had.

Seriously, she is growing up...she's changing her style. She cant be a teeny bopper all her life. Give the girl a break. Britney Spears started out on Mickey Mouse Club as did Christina and Justin. Look at all the other child stars. She can't be a kid forever. Her lyrics are still juvenille at least she's not saying do me this or that...Some people just need to sit down and worry about their children and not Miley Cryus, she has parents for that.

The young lady is growing up, damn, give her a break!!!! She's not your daughter so it's really none of your business. While I wouldn't have wanted my daughter doing this at 17 yrs old, my daughter wasn't an actress and singer so they have different views on what's appropriate and what's not. If her parents have no problem with it, everyone else should butt out!!!!!!!
