Melissa Etheridge's Ex-Wife Claims She's Too Broke to Feed Their Kids
Melissa Etheridge's ex-wife Tammy Lynn Michaels has exhibited a
long, bitter streak since the couple ended their nine-year relationship in April. Over the weekend, Tammy's blog featured a post titled "Just a Cornucopia of Thoughts," railing against her famous ex.
"Her lawyer lies about / me using the kids as pawns," Tammy, 35, writes in a long poem ruminating over the personal and monetary difficulties Etheridge, 49, is reportedly putting her through.
Most notable is the claim Etheridge hasn't supported her ex and their almost-4-year-old twins with enough money to eat -- "when i went to get cash / just last week / for the three of us to eat / nothing," Michaels wrote, later saying, "I might never trust another soul again."
Michaels is currently
fighting for custody of the twins, Johnnie and Miller. She carried the twins to term after being impregnated by an anonymous sperm donor. In addition to requesting full custody, Michaels is also petitioning Etheridge for spousal support.
Etheridge's attorney, Neal Hersh, told
PEOPLE in July: "[Tammy] is being completely supported by Melissa and has been since they separated. She's being well-provided for and then some, as are the children, which are Melissa's first priority."

I doubt that Ethridge would let her children suffer. Sounds like the typical nasty breakup. Perhaps Michaels should have a yard sale like Octomom to raise money for groceries.

Yes that is interesting that relatively plain looking women like Ethridge and DeGeneres have such hot and very feminine partners. Have you seen DeGeneres's girlfriend Portia de Rossi? She was in "Arrested Development" and she is smoking hot. Of course both DeGeneres and Ethridge have money and power so I guess it would be similar to the young hot girl in a relationship with the older unattractive rich guy.
Nothing cold-hearted about telling someone to get a job. That's life.

She should move out of Hollywood and to a town like Utah or Wisconsin, live a normal life ina noraml house and she will have plenty of cash left over to shop at the Dollar Store.

If that poem is her best work she better think of a differrent trade or she will starve to death. All kidding aside, those kids are well taken care of by both of them, I find it hard to believe they aren't. They might hate each other but they both love those kids.

Melissa Etheridge was on Opral one time and she was telling the world that her wife saved her life when she had breast cancer,that she stood by her,She is the man ,so she should support the family,The girl,Tammy is a beautiful woman,why would she look at this gay or what ever she calls herself,a man.

I want to give Melissa the shadow of doubt. Ive been a fan of hers for years. Almost every song she has done I liked. Usually buying a cd from others for just 1 or 2 songs. I hope this isnt true but if it is Melissa get it together. Tammy If I were you I would use what Fame you do have to get into movies or acting or something along those lines. I dont have kids and dont want them. I know its hard having them but maybe try to get a job. Take advantage of the situation. Dont let it take advantage of you!
