Oliver Stone Calls Michael Douglas' Status 'Precarious'

While in Berlin promoting 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,' director Oliver Stone made
Michael Douglas' cancer prognosis appear even more bleak, telling reporters on Tuesday that Douglas is in a "precarious" state,
AP reports.
Academy Award winner Douglas, 66, has been battling throat cancer since a
tumor was discovered in August, and he was unable to join Stone in Europe to promote the movie because he's apparently "suffering."
Last week, it was
reported that Douglas was only about a week away from finishing his chemo treatment, and that "no further treatments were scheduled."
Also last week in the same report, his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, told reporters that his outlook was getting better and that "the doctors are so happy."
Despite dealing with obvious pain in mid-September, Douglas had the
strength to attend the New York City premiere for 'Wall Street,' but didn't say a word to reporters.

Isn't Mike's cancer in stage 4? How can it not be precarious? If anything Oliver Stone is using the whole thing to generate even more ticket sales, As fans may never see him again on the big screen.

Oliver Stone is totally clueless. Mu husband just went through this treatment process. It is the 2-3 months AFTER treatment that are the hardest physically and emotionally. His last treatment was February 22nd and he is still feeling some of the effects of chemo and radiation. Give Michael another 4-6 months before he starts to feel halfway decent.

Yours was the best reply I saw. My bil had tongue cancer and you are right on what it is like. The treatments start to affect you and you are so tired, nauseous, etc. but they've put in a tube to feed liquid nutrition and keep your strength up. Of course it's harrowing and no picnic. You just do what you have to do to survive. Later your sense of taste returns over time, and hopefully your salivary glands start to work again. Meanwhile you drink water to keep your mouth from being too dry to talk etc. and eat despite the lack of taste. Things improve gradually. IMHO Michael Douglas is a fighter and has the grit to do what he needs to, but no it is not easy. My easy going bil is the bravest man alive as far as I'm concerned, he was a model for us all and he made it. We do not take life for granted any more. Good luck to Michael. just keep on fighting!
I pray Douglas and Zeta-Jones have a long and happy life together and are able to raise their children in a loving, healthy home.

It takes a while to get your energy back after chemo. I pray that Micheal is on his way to recovery. My brother-in-law went thru chemo for the same diagnosis twenty three years ago and he is still with us. Best of luck to Micheal and his family. Stay positive!!!
