Rapper T.I. came to the rescue early Wednesday afternoon when he helped police talk a suicidal man down from an Atlanta skyscraper, the Associated Press reports. After hearing about the jumper on the radio, T.I. [real name: Clifford Harris] went to the scene and offered his help to the police. Police said the man agreed to come down in exchange for a face-to-face chat with T.I. The rapper recorded a short video of himself that rescue workers took to the man to prove T.I. was actually there.
TMZ reported what T.I. said in the video message: "Nothing is that bad. Nothing in life is worth taking your life. I'm here to help you. Please come down to talk to me."
The man then met with T.I. in the building's lobby. "I told him it ain't that bad. It'll get better, to put the time and effort into making it better," T.I. said in a phone interview with The Associated Press. "I just reminded him know that I know. It looks bad right now, but it can turn around."

I am proud of this young man to take the time to help another young man. He could very well be why this man's life is saved.
I hope the judge takes this into account. A drug charge in CA should not cause him to go back to prison. The drug war is such a waste of time and money.

Saving a person life is good news to me. Helping out a stanger is good. Ti offer to help someone and all you can do is judge his past? Only god can judge people
good to see a positive about a young man. job well done.

That was a very touching story. I am glad T.I. cared enough to show kindness and step up and help that troubled man. I have known 2 young people who have killed themselves in the last 2 years, and it is heartbreaking.

You know TI is really trying to do better for himself, he stepped up and acted like a man on the weapons charges and went to prison. Was it smart of him and his girlfriend to get busted with drugs? No,Is he proud of getting busted? Probably Not. I applaud him for helping out some one who wanted to take there own life. If I was his judge I would let this be a credit to him.

What a rare story. A rap star thinks of someone else instead of himself. Well done Mr.Harris.
There's hope for (both) these guys.

I think what TI did was a very good Marking for himself, But I also think he must pull his life together if he wants people to still support him even though he has done some pretty amazing things for other people, But he has also violated the law, I would give him a warning and put him back on house arrest With certain restrictions for a certain period of time to let him think about what he has done and putting his wife in this situation because he is the man and he should lead by example so she can follow not her to follow his bad example, But she also has to realize she has kids and she has a father whom needs her right now, Judge do whats right and TI Continue to make us proud of you and stay focus, You are the man of this opporation run it with good intent.....God bless

Realistically he didn't do anything super astonishing. Mr. Harris simply did his duty to preserve life, something we are all tasked with but many rarely have the chance to test. Good for him for doing so, but this act doesn't absolve him from his wrong doings, not at all.

What he was really saying was it won't be as bad as he is now full of medication!!

God has a light to shine on everyone. TI is God sent even though he, and his family have are going through he knows who holds him. TI keep letting God use you "Psalms 46". No matter what people say remember God useS special people. I'm praying for you, Tiny, and your family on 10/15/11. Keep looking up Gods got your BACK!

i like TI's music but this is a bit of a coincidence. if we don't find out that he paid the guy and set the whole thing up i'll be surprised.

It is always nice to hear that someone took the time to help someone else in need.

Yeah- He's a freakin saint people easily forget - what he is, is a low life thug -do you all think he went to prison for his health - he wanted to murder someone - this is all for show because he is facing time back in jail for the DRUG charges

Actually Barbara, that isn't why he went to jail. He went to jail for illegal possession of firearms. He was paranoid and wanted to protect himself. It was more about self-preservation than wanting to go out to murder someone. I'm not excusing his actions, but I think there is a more nuanced way to look at the case.
Well done T.I.!
