TJ Lavin, host of MTV's 'Real World/Road Rules Challenge,' was seriously injured Thursday night after losing control of his BMX bike while attempting a trick at the Dew Tour Championships in Las Vegas, according to ESPN.The 33-year-old TV host and expert BMX rider is reportedly in critical condition at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, according to a spokesperson for the hospital. Lavin suffered a shattered wrist and broken ribs and was knocked unconscious after attempting a "nic nac" trick.
According to E!Online.com, Lavin was placed in a medically-induced coma to relieve swelling on his brain.

This is not funny, he has a serious brain injury. He is at the same hospital that my daughter was at a year and a half ago with brain trauma. He is in very good hands, my daughter made a full recovery thanks to all the excellent doctors, nurses and surgeons. I hope he gets well!!!!

I'm not familiar with the show or him, but still wish him a speedy recovery. At least he was doing something he enjoys, regardless of age. Was he wearing a helmet? If not, that could have maybe prevented such a serious brain injury. He is still young and actually handsome. Best wishes.
