T.I. Sentenced to 11 Months in Prison for Probation Violation

T.I. is headed back to prison.

A judge revoked the rapper's probation, forcing him back behind bars for 11 months, TMZ reports.

T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., and his wife, Tameka Cottle, were arrested in September for drug possession, while he was on probation for a felony weapons' charge from 2009.

At the time, police pulled over the couple in Los Angeles, smelling marijuana. They later reported that they found a small amount of ecstasy in the car as well.

In 2009, he spent seven months in prison, following a 2007 arrest for illegally purchasing several machine guns and silencers from undercover cops just hours before a scheduled performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in October 2007.

The laws seem a little messed up that he spent such little time for illegal weapons, but in a sense is getting way more time for a few drugs. And I read somewhere that he helped save somebody's life so I guess he can't be all bad.

I was really rooting for T.I. after I had a chance to see his reality show "Road to Redemption". I'm just sorry that trouble seems to follow him.. or maybe he seems to follow trouble. I just feel sorry for his kids who have to be without him yet another 11 months when he just got home in December. To be honest I thought he would get a lot longer than 11 mos.

He obviously has not learned yet. I mean if you know you are on probation why would you have drugs in the car? If you know you just served 9 months in jail why wouldn't you put the thinking cap on and say to yourself maybe I need to play it safe. Well he'll be writing some more rap songs in jail. I didn't expect anything less to happen. I mean he was on probation when he was caught doing something against the law right? But of course if this had of happened to Paris or any of the other socialites I'm sure they would have found a way to get her/them out of it.

I realize that. I didn't know that I had to be so specific. T. I. had already done his time in prison for the guns. I was suggesting had Paris or any of the other socialites had been on probation for whatever (not particularly guns) and in turn had been caught with drugs by the police, I'm sure they would have found a way to get out of an additional prison sentence.

Unfortunlty if that was Paris Hilton or i forget her name the one that violated her Probation in less then a week, they all look alike, a bunch of spoiled white girls. They wouldnt be getting 11 months. At the same time. They dont have no weapons violatons either. But the court of law tends to favor race. Thats a FACT.

he was in cobb county,ga work release with my ex-husband. and he said that T.I. was a pretty quite guy,but while everybody else worked during the day, he worked at nite. so he really wasnt around the other prisoners.
