Rosie O'Donnell Defends Joy and Whoopi: Bill O'Reilly 'Incites Hatred'

Just days after the now infamous battle on 'The View' between Bill O'Reilly and Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, ex-'View' co-host Rosie O'Donnell is speaking out.

On her Sirius satellite radio program, Rosie asked in a very matter-of-fact manner, "What does he do besides that? That's what Bill O'Reilly does. Why would you book him?"

O'Donnell, whose guest panel seemed more fired up about what happened than the host, also said that O'Reilly "incited hatred." And thinking back to her time on the 'The View' (2006-'07) she could only explain it was "such a strange atmosphere at that show, I don't think that it can be articulated."

Although Rosie may be censoring her remarks in public, behind the scenes, friends tell me she is angrier with Barbara Walters than Bill O'Reilly.

"Rosie thinks Babs should have stuck up for her girls," a friend of Rosie's tells me. "It doesn't matter who was right or wrong, Bill was a guest in her house and he was very rude and belittled her ladies. The same thing happened between Donald Trump and Rosie. Barbara scolding Joy and Whoopi in front of Bill was humiliating. After Bill's outrageous comments, Barbara should have chewed him out -- not try to remain neutral and calm. After all, isn't it called 'The View'? Where is Barbara's?"

Barbara Walters is set to address the situation Monday morning, live on 'The View.'

Bill O' Reilly is not a hatred! He was telling the truth because he honors for the victims family of 9/11, not mosque! Rosie never shut up herself,her foods got into her mouthfull. If Rosie doesn't like our American way....then she can packed up her suitcases and fly back to her hometown in Ireland. Never watch "The View" again. Change the channels and you can find a nice decent programs anyway you like.

Bill was simply giving his opinion not spreading hate. He was attempting to give a point of VIEW, you know, something to ponder, and use to make up ones own mind. Rosie is so narrow minded there is no room for other ideas. She's proved that time and time again. I don't understand why she gets any press whatsoever. Not to mention the ladies on the View...they are so predicable...so biased...what a snore.

My point of "view" on the 3 smooges. No talent, No Brains, No Idea. Walters gets a "B+" for handling the set-up situation, to get an "A-" she should have bought them a lifetime supply of Alpo. Oprah, please say NO.

I saw last week's show. First, I don't believe that a mosque should be build near there, unless you are going to put up a church (and there is a church that is trying to be rebuilt there damaged by the attacks I think St. Elizabeth's) a temple, some Buddist prayer flags, a shinto shrine, a wiccan pentacle, etc..
There should be a quiet place for everyone of every religion or not to sit and reflect -- period. You can tell the Iman that NJ is a river away. Second, Bill was only standing up for what he believes in, as Joy and Whoppi were voicing their opinions.
Walking away, is childish. It shows immaturity -- You should never back down from a fight, unless you feel you don't have the ability to challenge the brain trust of the opponent. Bill was Bill, nothing more. Whoppi I am surprised about, Joy well not surprised at all. Barbara should have moderated a little better so it did not get to the heated point it did.

Rosie O'Dumdum at it again. Since when is she such a genious? Whoopie and Joy acted very unprofessional - they should have never walked off stage! A guest is a guest and they knew this man and he had been on before, they should never have walked off stage. Barbara should be looking for two new co-hosts by now. NOBODY incites hatred like joy behar. She's a loud mouthed, dim witted, ignoramus and she has no business being on a show called "the view" when in her peanut shell of a brain her view is the only one that counts. And as far as whoopie is concerned, i remember when she stood on the view and said she didn't trust obama one bit and she feels he is not fit for the job, now, all of a sudden when clinton lost to him, he suddenly got mucho experience in whoopie's eyes. Yeah whoopie get back on the joy juice obviously you didnt have any and your true personality came thru. As far as Rosie ODonnell is concerned, she's another empty headed half wit.
