Report: Mel Gibson Mounts Comeback in 'Hangover 2'

UPDATE: Mel Gibson axed from 'The Hangover 2' after complaints from the cast.

Mel Gibson has been in Hollywood jail ever since the disastrous fallout from his relationship with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva went public, and now he's planning his great escape, starting with a cameo in 'The Hangover 2,' according to New York Post's Page Six. He'll reportedly be playing a tattoo artist.

"It's a done deal," a source told Page Six. "Filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot, where a Bangkok set has been built and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October."

The 'Hangover' sequel catalogs yet another disastrous vacation for Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis, which this time takes the boys to Thailand.

Fortunately for Gibson, he has some experience playing roles as weird body artists. Back in 1997, he played "Scott the Body Piercer" in a short scene in 'Father's Day.'

Also, the guys from 'The Hangover' are starting to make a habit out of rehabbing controversial celebrities with key cameo roles, as they did for Mike Tyson in the original movie while he was recovering from his "drug abuser" image. Similarly, Tom Cruise pumped some new life into his career when he played Les Grossman in 'Tropic Thunder.'

Neither Gibson or Warner Bros. have commented on the report.

Mel Gibson disgusts me and i was a one time fan of his. His wife put up with years of his alcoholism only to be dumped by him (who i might add paid the church off to have the marriage annulled, thereby making his 7 children bastards). I will NEVER pay to see him in another movie again. Did he really think a twenty something girl wanted his old baggy body? Of course she wanted his money and ya know something, i hope she gets his money. He's a disgusting piece of dog crap.

She set him up from the get go.She has ties to russian mafia,is a con artist who lied about her past,career,everything.He found out then dumped her.That's why he was so angry on the tapes that she secretly recorded & they proved she doctored the tapes.Mel has given authorities emails shesent him telling him she released the tapes because the 15million he offered her was not enough.She is an extortionist & the LAPD is going to arrest her & hopefully deport her back to russia where she belongs.

Mel is a bi-polar person who needs meds. People with those kinds of mood swings can be aggressive,obnoxious,sometimes just plain foul, like he has proven to be. He needs to take responsibility and get a handle on his chemistry! The fact that Hollywood is giving him movies just shows that they will tolerate anything!
