Did you wake up from a dead sleep at 3AM this morning, unsure why? That was the sound of Deadline Hollywood publishing a tale straight from the Can't Make This Stuff Up Department -- President Barack Obama will appear on Discovery Channel's 'Mythbusters' on Dec. 8."In the episode, 'Archimedes Solar Ray,' Obama challenges hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman to prove the ancient Greek myth that scientist and polymath Archimedes set fire to an invading Roman fleet using only mirrors and the reflected rays of the sun," Deadline writes.
The White House confirmed the report to the Associated Press. "Obama has already taped his appearance," the AP writes. "Discovery said that episode will consider whether Greek scientist Archimedes set fire to an invading Roman fleet using only mirrors and the reflected rays of the sun."

Myth busters should debunk Obama's programs that Obama claims succeeded and we all know they failed! Obama is the biggest myth of all! Period!

Starting with the 'Hope and Change'; and could they please also define the true meaning of 'Yes We Can'. Yes we can WHAT?
And myth-bust everything the Messiah's done since. There won't be a single thing left that was actually beneficial to America.
A bonus myth bust - was his bow to another head of state (leader of Saudi Arabia) a sign of respect of subservience? He says respect. I think that's a myth. Good subject for mythbusters to investigate.
The New York Times notes that the Archimedes myth was previously "busted" in 2006, but will be revisited for the President's episode.I love this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via age'lessmate.c'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends..
Is one of the myths that Obama is actually an effective President?

Guess our president has nothing else to do.

Is President Obama deft or not. The myth is that he is not but it appaears he may be....

So.... Whatever happened to getting this country back on line. A new TV hero? I think not. This guy is, for sure, the myth of all myths.

To say that I'm thoroughly ashamed at this latest ill-advised undertaking by POTUS is putting it very mildly....

No kidding. What's next? DWTS?
I wish Obama would appear on the unemployment line.

They busted the myth several years ago.
Well I guess obama has not a clue about science like he does with this country.

Did some of you people just not bother to read the whole article or did you just see an opportunity to slam the President? This is being done to promote an interest in math and science, which in case some of you bashers have conveniently overlooked, the U.S. is doing lousy in! You don't like the President that's your business. And in case some of you have also conveniently forgotten, there is a House and a Senate to our government as well that's done a lot more to damage the economy and so forth and has done a really wonderful job in derailing what the President's trying to do. You do remember that right?
You don't like the President, fine whatever. But if his appearance gets more children interested in math and science, go for it!

Obama should be setting a fine example to our children, by stopping all the blatant lying he loves so much.
you seem to be forgetting that tea partyers and there ilk are people who decry science and mathematics since it's inconveniently ad odds with their religious claims...they'd prefer their kids to stay uneducated and for the u.s. to continue to fall behind other countries in education. It's in their best interest to keep people stupid and knee jerk reactive...it saves them having to actually think
Michael gifford, you are obviously not real familiar with the Tea Party "ilk". Or what it is we want from government. (mainly less) Why don't you do a little reading instead of watching the "mainstream" media.
If Obama and this administration were really concerned about getting kids interested in math and science, they would funnel more money into education, not continue to cut educational budgets. It's all smoke and mirrors and PR. Don't be fooled.
LISTEN YOU DUM SHYT DO SOMTHING WORTH WHILE FOR THE COUNTRY IN STEAD OF PERSUEING YOUR TV CAREER

"dumb" "something" "you're" "then" "your" - And, have you ever heard of punctuation? You really have no right to call anyone dumb. Pick up a book or newspaper once in a while instead of getting all your information from Fox TV.
I guess he has nothing better to do

Exactly, phil! He could have better spent that time in an elementary school, reading "The Pet Goat" to the kids.
