Jon Gosselin Admits He Made Mistakes, Is Ashamed of His Behavior

After a year of questionable behavior, Jon Gosselin turned to his Twitter account Tuesday to clear his conscience and get some things off his chest.

"I am acutely aware of the mistakes I made in 2009 and I am ashamed of the choices I made," Jon wrote, according to UsMagazine.com. "I have apologized to Kate, my family, and to my friends. Through counseling I have learned to own my actions. My goal is to move forward in a positive direction."

Gosselin said his reason for Tuesday's Twitter diatribe was to "clarify a few things" and share how being on TV has impacted his kids negatively. "The negative effects on my family was my greatest concern and far outweigh any monetary gain we received," Gosselin Tweeted.

"Today, my children are much older than when we first started. They are acutely aware their life is markedly different from their peers," he added.

This is Gosselin's second Twitter tirade in the past week. Last Friday, he also posted a long note to his account after losing a bid in court to keep his children off television. They currently appear on the TLC show, 'Kate Plus 8.' See Gosselin's full Twitter tirade from Friday here.

I agree that you are an IDIOT. Did you ever watch that show? Jon didnt do anything for the family unless directed to. He never just saw something needed to be done and did it on his own. He was a lazy piece of crap. Then she gets blamed for being bossy. If he had been a man from day 1 their marriage couldve been different. Also have you seen his track record since their divorce? Hes had several girlfriends all of which said he is abusive and he is unemployed. Hes trying to halt his ex wife working because hes a jealous little weasle and hes stolen money out of the family bank accounts because he wont work. Yeah kate was all the problem... you moron.

I notice it's only the ladies who defend Kate, and call me idiot, moron, etc. I suspect the girls who defend her are just as biatchy as she is. Glad I don't have to live with you name-calling, nasty krones. Hahaha.

this makes me laugh to read all of the scathing remarks from women against a remark from a male. I can't believe that many women would stand up for that publicity pig, kate. Well said and so true. Does anyone even watch that skank and her show anymore? I heard they were being cancelled and I was elated. Kate is nothing more than a gold digging, attention grabbing, self serving, nasty dare I call her a human being.
She needs to go far far away, leave the kids to her husband who in my opinion does have their best interest at heart.
She is so damaging to them, and she probably berates them just like she did the father, after all they all look like him.

If his kids are having emotional issues maybe it has more to do with the break up of the family than than any filming going on. It's not good for the kids to see their Dad chasing after young women either.
I guess it's easy to be sad and admit to your mistakes when you find yourself BROKE. When he thought he was going to have his own show and be rich he was singing a different tune.
