French Protests Tamper with Lady Gaga ConcertsMassive protests and workers striking in France have forced Lady Gaga to postpone concerts in the country until December. Protesters angry about the government's plan to raise France's retirement age to 62 have locked up highways and blockaded an airport in Marseilles.

"A quarter of the nation's gas stations were out of fuel despite President Nicolas Sarkozy's orders to force open depots barricaded by striking workers," the AP reports.

Gaga was scheduled to perform at a venue called the Bercy in Paris on Friday, Oct. 22 and Saturday, Oct. 23. An official statement on her website reads: "Unfortunately, as there is no certainty that the trucks can make it to the Bercy for this weekend's shows, the Lady Gaga performances are now postponed."
