Octomom's Doctor: 'I'm Sorry for What Happened'

Octomom's doctor regrets his decision to help Nadya Suleman conceive 8 babies--and he's very apologetic. Dr. Michael Kamrava testified in his own defense in administrative court on Thursday in an effort to keep his medical license, PEOPLE reports.

"I'm sorry for what happened. When I look back at it, I wish I had never done it and it will never happen again," Dr. Michael Kamrava said while wiping away tears.

Dr. Kamrava implated 12 embryos in Suleman. State officials claim this is evidence of unreasonable judgment, substandard care and a lack of concern for the eight children she would go on to conceive in addition to the six she was already raising. Suleman was unemployed at the time.

Officials say the doctor should have sent Suleman for a mental health evaluation instead of doing the procedure.

Interestingly, Kamrava seems to be moving away from previous statements he's made about his actions. Last year he defended the procedure in a 'Nightline' interview saying it was all "was done the right way ... under the circumstances."

Here are my thoughts: The people of California should sue this irresponsible doctor for damages inflicted on them financially, and he should have to support the eight children, as if they were his own, until they graduate college. That way they will never burden the tax-payers of California. He probably though he was going to be mentioned on the reality show when she struck pay-dirt.

Actually, he and he alone should pony up all the money it will take to raise those 8 children. After all, Dr. Fankenstein created them with that cud chewing wanna be a star birthing cow that is leeching money from the public to support them, herself and the rest of that tribe.

okay- she was unemployed- how in the blazes did she have the money to pay for the in vitro?? sopmeone paid it for her? she traded sex for it? the Dr did it out of the goodness of his heart and ignorance of the facts?

Actually, Octo-idiot received money from a settlement after sustaining an injury at a job. Instead of using the money wisely, she used it for in vitro treatments. Apparently she didn't think to put any of it away for, say...a rainy day...or even better yet, fourteen kids...

The Doctor needs his license taken away. There is simply no excuse for what he did. The woman's body is NOT made to carry that many kids, and there is no way Nadya Suleman is or ever was fit to provide for that many kids!!

She had received a settlement for a "back injury". The good doctor saw that cash in the hand of a nut and decided to help her spend it. He is pure trash.

He must have known that the support of her 14 kids would fall on the backs of the American tax payers. I think he should have to support them. I also think the nutcase mother should be put in a rubber room somewhere, and the children adopted out. From what I've read, she's a lousy mouther.

Dr. K's tearful apology earns no sympathy from me. Implanting 12 embryos in an umemployed woman who already has 6 children may be the most irresponsible action ever, by an allegedly educated man.
Revoke his medical license - permanently ! In my opinion Octomom
is a nut case (should have been obvious to the doctor). For the sake of the 14 children, all 14 should be removed from O-Mom's custody and made available for adoption. By now, should be no doubt that O-Mom does not really like children-she likes babies !
If it was in my power, she would be rendered sterile, and banned from adoption.
