Lindsay Can't Afford Rehab; Looking for a Sponsor

You would think that Lindsay Lohan would be jumping for joy since a judge decided to order her back to rehab rather than to jail, however, sources tell me neither option made the troubled actress very happy. Why? Because the strapped 'Mean Girls' star will now need to find a sponsor to help cover her bill at the Betty Ford Center.

"Lindsay can't afford to pay for treatment," a friend told me after Superior Court Judge Elden Fox ordered her to remain there until Jan. 3. "Three months at the facility will cost her almost $50,000, which she doesn't have."

Lohan's probation report confirms that the star's "clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product," and any money she hoped to earn from filming 'Inferno' will have to wait until she leaves rehab.

"There is simply no money left," an insider tells me. "Lindsay manages to live high off the generosity of others; however, asking for free clothes and dinners at fancy restaurants is one thing, asking for $50,000 cash is something totally different. Her people tried and failed to sell her first post rehab interview for big bucks, so her only option now is to find some sort of sponsor."

Or maybe find a cheaper rehab, Lindsay!

I would suggest letting that tart do her rehab in the same kind of facility that every other mook in the country that gets yanked. OMG!!! DETOX WITH THE GREAT UNWASHED!?!?? Seriously, put her in with a bunch of recovering addicts from the real world. After that, however, what she really needs to do is QUIT DRIVING! Then she could party as hard as she wants and tell the rest of the world to shove off.

Instead of the Betty Ford Clinic she can stay at a rehab facility that matches her white trash self. There are a lot of places out there for people who can't afford the fancy clinics. Maybe spending a few months in one of those with real junkies instead of spoiled rich folk would give her a reality check.

I agree...why does she have to do Betty Ford? Why cant she do Tarzana or one of the other cheaper rehabs? Why? Because she thinks she is not like the other addicts. Those addicts are beneath her she thinks. Betty Ford never really did anything for anyone who went there. Let her do a drug rehab program in jail, they are very strict and she might learn something...NOT TO DO IT AGAIN!! Or do a state funded rehab..but they probably wont take her because of the paparazzi that would hang around...anywhere she goes its a problem and its all her fault. If Im paying tax dollars for her then she better get to a cheaper rehab

You are so right! I am so sick of hearing how much money the stars make, I think there all over paid! Lindsey needs to wake up and when she does she needs to be brought down to earth and try living like the rest of us.

Many people stay sober and clean after being sent by a judge to a state run rehab facility. The snobs who go to expensive, private facilities often don't do as well because they miss the whole humility part of recovery.

I agree. She should be treated like anyone else, not like she is "special" and go somewhere she can't afford. But, I am sure she has money somewhere. She just doesn't want to be spending her "drug money" or "bail money".
