Charlie Sheen Hospitalized After Naked Run-In With Police at NYC Hotel

Charlie Sheen has long maintained a reputation as a Hollywood bad boy, and now an apparently wild night in the Big Apple has everyone talking. The actor, who is in town with ex-wife Denise Richards and daughters Sam and Lola, reportedly trashed his suite at the Plaza Hotel overnight after realizing his wallet was missing, causing hotel security to call the police. According to the New York Post, when the authorities arrived at around 2AM on Tuesday, Sheen was both drunk and naked, having badly damaged his surroundings in a fit of rage. Police described Sheen as being "emotionally disturbed" when they arrived. Police gave Sheen a choice between jail and treatment, and he was subsequently admitted to a New York hospital, accompanied by Richards. Sheen's rep, Stan Rosenfield, tells PopEater, "Charlie had an allergic reaction to some medication" and was expected to be released from the hospital on Wednesday.

However, sources tell PopEater that Sheen has already left the hospital and will be back in Los Angeles tonight. We're told he is already on the plane back home.

Adding a scandalous sheen to this already-bizarre story, a source tells Life & Style magazine that the star was entertaining an escort at the time of his alleged outburst. "She was fearing for her life and was naked," the source says of the woman, who was allegedly hiding in the hotel room closet. "Charlie was incoherent but started screaming slurs at the cops."

RadarOnline.com is also reporting that Sheen was with a prostitute before his breakdown and that he believed she was the one who had stolen his wallet, igniting the outburst. In the 1990s, the actor was named as a regular customer of Heidi Fleiss, who was also known as the "Hollywood Madam."

The Plaza's public relations agency tells PopEater that the iconic hotel overlooking Central Park is not commenting at this time.

The troubled star, whose substance abuse problems have been widely reported, checked himself into rehab as a "preventative measure" in early 2010. Sheen reportedly accepted treatment instead of jail time following allegations of domestic assault by his estranged wife Brooke Mueller, mother of his 1-year-old twins, Bob and Max.

According to TMZ, Sheen is eight days shy of completing probation in the Aspen domestic violence case and that the D.A.'s office is aware of the incident in New York.

He currently stars on the hit CBS sitcom 'Two and a Half Men.'

He really has some deep rooted problems. He has a hit show, money and everything he could possibly want and he always finds some way to mess up. I no longer watch his show, because he is such a fake. He will probably end up in the gutter. He needs his friends and family to do hard love and kick him to the curb. He is just like Lohan, they don't seem to have any idea how lucky they are and hide behind "drug" addiction as an excuse for being creeps spoiled individuals.

Exactly--time for this fool to grow up -- obviously he can't manage a relationship, yet he keeps getting married and producing children (maybe a vasectomy is in order) and then he keeps drinking and drugging. I, too, don't watch the show -- can't stand looking at him -- he's a bit old to be playing the part he plays, which is too bad, because the rest of the cast is excellent. Maybe they can write him out, or do a spin-off.

I have always felt that the role he plays in 2.5 men is him. I don't find him funny, I find him a sad little man that has never taken responsibility for his actions, then again few in his family ever have as they all consider themselves so special.

I do not care what anyone says, Charlie Sheen is very funny on 2 and 1/2 Men. It really is a shame he can't get it together. I think maybe he is a lot like his charactor on the show, but he really needs to get some mental help. He needs to go to a rehab that is not for the stars where he is babied. He really needs help before it is too late.
