Mel Gibson Gearing Up to Say 'I'm Sorry'

After the
shocking news that the cast and crew of 'The Hangover 2' wanted nothing to do with
Mel Gibson, the actor himself is starting to realize that remaining silent is doing him no favors in the eyes of the public and, of course, the Hollywood producers that hold his career in their hands. That's why the fallen star is getting ready to tell his side of the story, sources tell me.
"Since the second the tapes were released, every media outlet [including this site] has been contacting Mel's people asking for an interview," an insider tells me. "Now, after months of silence, Mel has finally realized if he doesn't say something really soon it might be too late. The days of burying his head in the sand hoping this whole ugly mess goes away are over."
Mel has his pick of any outlet, and everyone from Oprah to Letterman and the 'Today' show to 'The View' (oh, the tears that Babs would conjure!) have all made it clear that they would love to give him a venue to spill it. However, sources close to the actor tell me Mel would rather sit down with a man this time around.
"Mel did an interview with Diane Sawyer after his anti-Semitic remarks several years ago, and that didn't go so well for him," a friend of the actor says. "Now, with the stakes even higher, everyone thinks it would be better for a man to sit opposite another man to discuss everything that has been going on lately. I suppose the first choice would be Matt Lauer. It's certainly not going to be Oprah after she almost got Oksana to tell all."
Matt's skill and integrity cannot be denied, but unless Mel is willing to accept responsibility this isn't going to end well for him. One public relations expert tells me, "Mel must be aware of what he needs to do. And that is to say, 'I'm sorry.'"

The only person who should engage in a conversation with Mel Gibson is a therapist. Aside from the obvious - he has serious anger management issues...and until he can control them, and/or get to the bottom of it - he'll never be able to sustain a monogamous relationship or marriage!

The dude has let alcohol get the better of his life.
Basically he needs to get sober and he will see things a whole lot clearer. At that point he will be able to apologize and it will have a serious meaning to it.
He will then be more accepted and can start over. He is a very good actor.

It's so easy to say sorry and thats it. Not this time! Mel Gibson is a vile miserable drunken Anti Semite, period. Personally I love it when good time Mel starts chugging the booze and gets in trouble. And to those Mel apologists out there, why don't you go out and hang out with your hero. Maybe you will wake up from your stupidity and see for yourself what this piece of excrement really is.

I agree that it is racist to not have Mel on Hangover 2 but to put tyson in the movie is so shameful.

To be honest-i do not think what mel has done or anything personal is any of my business. Some people seem to get off on others faults and misery, get a life and things in this world be alot better if people just worried about what business they have and not about others .thankyou and goodluck

Mel should first apologize to his baby daughter, for having conceived her while married to another woman rather than to her mother.
Then he should apologize to Oxana (Ocksana? Whatever) and she should apologize to him, for their mutual bad behavior.
And then, since Mel seems to believe that he and his earthly father have closer relationships with God that everyone else does, he should probably seek God's forgiveness.

Mel Gibson may be ready to make a "Big" movie but his days of glory are over. He's a dried up has been and I wouldn't watch his films unless I was forced to be strapped down in front of the television.

Maybe you can't apologize for murder or rape but NAMES? Get a life. Name calling is nothing.

It is not just names. Imagine being in the same room when he is on his rampages? I have been in those situations & let me tell you it is very scary. When they are screaming at you you feel for your personal safety. Mel is a very sick person, has been for many years. His wife Robin must have been a saint to stay as long as she did. I wonder what his kids went through. Hell probably. Get help Mel you desperately need it.
I am ready to see his next movie. It would be great to see one that he produces and directs and also stars in. Bring it on Mel.

The woman is a golddigger. Mel has a bad temper and she had the whole thing figured out from the beginning. She took advantage of him, his money, his temper, their child. And, now she's looking for her more than fair share of 15 minutes of fame.
How women posting on this site would actually make a recording like that available to the public? He was sick, but she was sicker to take advantage of him.

sandpiper708 It has been rumored for years that Matt Lauer cheated on his wife......Mel and he could share their adventures. Mel has been known to be viollent and abusinve . It would be a stretch to believe his side of the story.

Mel Gibson owes NO ONE an apology. It is his Constitutional right to speak his mind. You may or may not like it, but that's too Gawd Damned Bad. Get over yourself and DEAL WITH IT!

They are all sickos & need help. If you hurt someone YES you do need to say I am sorry.
He's not sorry. He's just acting. Since he can't get a job so...

Mel should tell them all to go to hell, he doesn't owe anyone an explanation except for maybe his ex-wife who he left for this bimbo. Other than that it's no ones business how he airs his laundry.
