After making the difficult decision to give their daughter Carly up for adoption, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra from MTV's 'Teen Mom' have turned their attention toward going to college, and Jezebel.com is determined to help.Accepting donations via PayPal to help finance Catelynn and Tyler's college education, Jezebel is working with pro bono professionals to ensure the funds are dispersed responsibly. Donations will be accepted until November 3.
Jezebel believes, "The young couple should be commended for having the wisdom to know that they were unable to give their daughter the kind of life that they wanted for her and the sensitivity to make the kind of sacrifices in order to make sure that she would."
"As of this morning, the fund has raised about $10,300. I hadn't anticipated that people would be so generous, but am thrilled about it," says Tracie Egan Morrissey, senior writer at Jezebel.

seriously. do people realize they get paid for every episode of teen mom as well as all those magazine covers they appear on?
perhaps the people donating to this dumb charity fund should donate to a larger charity that works to give money to teen moms all over the country and not just two individuals who are paid to be on tv.
Some money should be raised to get Catelynn an apartment so she can move out from her mother's house. That woman is an abusive, cruel wretch and should not have custody of her kids.

Tyler & Catelynn's families are the epitomy of dysfunctional and somehow, these two have managed to grow up level-headed, sensitive and had the intelligence to know they did not want to have their daughter raised in the environment they were. I greatly admire their courage and determination to do whatever they had to do to give Carly a better life. I wish I had the resources to contribute to their fund because they definitely deserve it!

Deserve it? They deserve your money for being irresponsible and getting knocked up? Then exploiting their story for a profit?

Cracked - I guess you have never made a mistake - must be nice to be perfect!! They made a mistake, one that is made by hundreds of teenagers each year. Obviously you have not watched the show or you would understand why they really deserve to get any help they can!

Just came out they make 60000 a season to be on the show, plus magazine covers... people should get their money back. They could not even finish high school in time and they didnt have their kid.
