Charlie Sheen Slams 'Overblown' Reports, Vows to Keep Truth 'Under Wraps'
Charlie Sheen has wasted no time in addressing his now-infamous
hotel outburst that, according to wild reports, was fueled by cocaine, a prostitute and a furious search for a missing wallet. The 'Two and a Half Men' star tells
RadarOnline.com, via text message, that the whole incident and his brief hospitalization were blown out of proportion and that he'll be keeping further details about it "under wraps."
"Oh my man, I'm fine," he told the site's Senior Executive Editor, Dylan Howard. "The story is totally overblown and overplayed as far as the reality of the scenario."
Sheen reportedly sent the message right after landing in Los Angeles Tuesday night after being released from New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he received an evaluation for his mental health.
The details from his bizarre night at New York's Plaza Hotel remain sketchy. What is known is that police arrived at around 2AM on Tuesday and found Sheen both drunk and naked, having badly damaged his hotel room in a fit of rage. Police described Sheen as being "emotionally disturbed" when they arrived. Further reports indicate he was high on cocaine and with a frightened prostitute at the time. Apparently, he believed she had taken his personal items.
Radar is reporting that Sheen tested positive for cocaine at the hospital, but Sheen's rep, Stan Rosenfield, told PopEater, "Charlie had an allergic reaction to some medication."
In his only other printed comments, Sheen doesn't confirm or deny those reports and intimates that he won't be revealing any details any time soon.
"I know what went down and that's where it will stay ... under wraps."
Sheen was in New York to spend time with his ex-wife
Denise Richards and their two daughters. The actress accompanied him to the hospital and later Tuesday
mirrored his comments on staying mum on the details.
In an exclusive interview with
LX New York, the actress said, "If Charley wants to discuss it, that's his choice ... I don't want to get into it" and that "it's a private matter." She also said that her kids "have no idea" about the hotel fracas and that she "does her best to protect them from certain things."
The actor is
set to return to the set of his hit CBS sitcom 'Two and a Half Men' on Tuesday.
"Charlie will be working this week doing a cameo role, playing himself, in a small movie as a favor to a friend and has every intention of going back to work on 'Two and a Half Men' on Tuesday," his manager told PEOPLE.

Poor Charlie...The media always makes something out of nothing. I mean doesn't everybody run his car off Laurel Canyon road twice a month??? Doesn'r everybody wake up naked and drugged in strange hotel rooms a couple of times a month??? That damn media just picks on Charlie!!!!

A woman hiding in the closet because he was being violent? This guy is not a little boy anymore, its not "cute" o.k. It was reported this morning his kids were in the next room and while they couldn't "see" what daddy was doing they could sure hear it.
Can you get any more selfish than this so called father? Get help Charlie you are hurting all of your kids!
"overblown" drunk naked and the cops called at 2 AM...allergic reaction to meds..OH PLEASE..the guys is a lying loser.with kids who deserve better.

Unbelievable! Charlie's wife is right next door in another room and he has the nerve to bring a prostitute in his room with him -- could't his wife hear them having sex next door? I am sure that the kids heard what was going on also. Why would you and your wife stay next to each other anyway?
Doesn't matter, Charlie; your show is like soooo over. It's not funny anymore. This will be the last season.

Charlies needs to be honest with himself. His idea of fun is a hooker, some cocaine, and a few drinks. This has been his pattern for over 20 years. He really shouldn't marry anymore, and he needs to show better judgement in doing this with his children down the hall. I have no problem with him chosen lifestyle. It's his choice. As far as drug and alcohol addiction, he is the only one who can determine how far gone he is on either one. He apparently has the ability to pull it together enough for TV shows and movies to be made. The sooner he accepts who he is, and makes arrangements for police/fire/etc to not be called when he is indulging in his chosen lifestyle, the faster these news blasts will stop.

I, too, am a senior citizen. I watched 'his' TV show in the beginning, but it is now a total sleeze fest. He and the scripts are poor. If he weren't on it maybe it could be saved.
Aww, Ruth, that was very sweet! I feel the same way, I love that show! I wish him well too!
Ruth, you are a nicer senior than Pamela...I hope I am like you when I am in my 80's.
The last few shows of Two and a half have not been very good. I can see a difference in his acting. He has a big problem that is for sure. I really hate it for him as in the past his role has been so good.

I agree, the episodes do lack luster, but that is to be a given after it has been on so long. Denise is so cool because she knows it is all a publicity stunt. any publicity is good publicity. So he trashed a room. Scared a prostitute??? How much did that cost versus the MILES of publicity? No one was really injured. Didn't get arrested. If that is not the case, Charlie is one guy who really has had EVERYTHING and is going to self distruct. Give me a call Charlie.
Denial is one of Hollywood's people forte. We are the stupid once watching there stuff, so we are also to blame.
