Charlie Sheen Slams 'Overblown' Reports, Vows to Keep Truth 'Under Wraps'

Charlie Sheen has wasted no time in addressing his now-infamous hotel outburst that, according to wild reports, was fueled by cocaine, a prostitute and a furious search for a missing wallet. The 'Two and a Half Men' star tells RadarOnline.com, via text message, that the whole incident and his brief hospitalization were blown out of proportion and that he'll be keeping further details about it "under wraps."

"Oh my man, I'm fine," he told the site's Senior Executive Editor, Dylan Howard. "The story is totally overblown and overplayed as far as the reality of the scenario."

Sheen reportedly sent the message right after landing in Los Angeles Tuesday night after being released from New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he received an evaluation for his mental health.

The details from his bizarre night at New York's Plaza Hotel remain sketchy. What is known is that police arrived at around 2AM on Tuesday and found Sheen both drunk and naked, having badly damaged his hotel room in a fit of rage. Police described Sheen as being "emotionally disturbed" when they arrived. Further reports indicate he was high on cocaine and with a frightened prostitute at the time. Apparently, he believed she had taken his personal items.

Radar is reporting that Sheen tested positive for cocaine at the hospital, but Sheen's rep, Stan Rosenfield, told PopEater, "Charlie had an allergic reaction to some medication."

In his only other printed comments, Sheen doesn't confirm or deny those reports and intimates that he won't be revealing any details any time soon.

"I know what went down and that's where it will stay ... under wraps."

Sheen was in New York to spend time with his ex-wife Denise Richards and their two daughters. The actress accompanied him to the hospital and later Tuesday mirrored his comments on staying mum on the details.

In an exclusive interview with LX New York, the actress said, "If Charley wants to discuss it, that's his choice ... I don't want to get into it" and that "it's a private matter." She also said that her kids "have no idea" about the hotel fracas and that she "does her best to protect them from certain things."

The actor is set to return to the set of his hit CBS sitcom 'Two and a Half Men' on Tuesday.

"Charlie will be working this week doing a cameo role, playing himself, in a small movie as a favor to a friend and has every intention of going back to work on 'Two and a Half Men' on Tuesday," his manager told PEOPLE.

I think it is time for him to man up and admit he has a very serious problem that must be addressed now. He is on a collision course with death and most likely will achieve this goal. I sincerely hope that when it occurs he does not take an innocent bystander with him. Is the Baker Act available to be invoked in CA.? If so, why hasn't that happened. Where are his brothers, father, agent etc. BTW the show has really deteriorated and Jon Cryer is now cast in a strange role as he wacks off. Too bad.

2 expensive vehicles, one of which rolled down a steep cliff, the other...who knows.....both suspiciously "stolen" from Sheen and found, totaled. (Wondering now if maybe HE was in the driver seat drunk and got out and left the scene) The Aspen fiasco and now this? Charlie Sheen is headed in the direction of Anna Nichole Smith, Michael Jackson, Gary Bussey, etc. His good looks are NOT going to keep him out of prison or a casket! Sheen, get in touch with Robert Downey Jr. (another man who ended up NAKED and out of it) Ask him to help you get clean. He's a man who came back, literally from either death or a very long prison sentence. You are NOT immune to the justice system and you are going to end up killing someone. STOP disrespecting women...They aren't your personal play toys. You have kids who will Google you one day. The truth, will hurt you then. Also, refering to a person as "Oh, my man" makes you sound ignorant. Grow up!
