Charlie Sheen Slams 'Overblown' Reports, Vows to Keep Truth 'Under Wraps'
Charlie Sheen has wasted no time in addressing his now-infamous
hotel outburst that, according to wild reports, was fueled by cocaine, a prostitute and a furious search for a missing wallet. The 'Two and a Half Men' star tells
RadarOnline.com, via text message, that the whole incident and his brief hospitalization were blown out of proportion and that he'll be keeping further details about it "under wraps."
"Oh my man, I'm fine," he told the site's Senior Executive Editor, Dylan Howard. "The story is totally overblown and overplayed as far as the reality of the scenario."
Sheen reportedly sent the message right after landing in Los Angeles Tuesday night after being released from New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he received an evaluation for his mental health.
The details from his bizarre night at New York's Plaza Hotel remain sketchy. What is known is that police arrived at around 2AM on Tuesday and found Sheen both drunk and naked, having badly damaged his hotel room in a fit of rage. Police described Sheen as being "emotionally disturbed" when they arrived. Further reports indicate he was high on cocaine and with a frightened prostitute at the time. Apparently, he believed she had taken his personal items.
Radar is reporting that Sheen tested positive for cocaine at the hospital, but Sheen's rep, Stan Rosenfield, told PopEater, "Charlie had an allergic reaction to some medication."
In his only other printed comments, Sheen doesn't confirm or deny those reports and intimates that he won't be revealing any details any time soon.
"I know what went down and that's where it will stay ... under wraps."
Sheen was in New York to spend time with his ex-wife
Denise Richards and their two daughters. The actress accompanied him to the hospital and later Tuesday
mirrored his comments on staying mum on the details.
In an exclusive interview with
LX New York, the actress said, "If Charley wants to discuss it, that's his choice ... I don't want to get into it" and that "it's a private matter." She also said that her kids "have no idea" about the hotel fracas and that she "does her best to protect them from certain things."
The actor is
set to return to the set of his hit CBS sitcom 'Two and a Half Men' on Tuesday.
"Charlie will be working this week doing a cameo role, playing himself, in a small movie as a favor to a friend and has every intention of going back to work on 'Two and a Half Men' on Tuesday," his manager told PEOPLE.

Poor children. hope wife will not let kids go with him again. Dept of Human Services should be called in to keep them away from him but supervised visits.

Is there really any difference between this clown and Lindsay?

No.
Yeah, Martin
Oh pleese, Charlie Sheen/Charlie Harper is the posted boy for bad adult behavior and I just hope his 2 ex-wives do everything they can to keep him far away from those children as possible. But I guess until his show tanks and he is no longer paid to be a slug...he'll just keep doing what he's doing...very sad....

The report in the article that states that he tested positive for cocaine at the hospital....who from the hospital released that information? That is Protected Health Information. I work at a major medical facility and if I ever released that information, I would be fired immediately and my hospital would be at risk for lawsuit.

The prostitute is lucky she didn't get killed.
I'm begining to think we should stop watching Sheen's show. I thought it was educational to show my child what a misogynist looks like, and that it is harmful to his life.
But at a certain point, it is time to stop watching.

I happened to be at the Plaza hotel on Saturday and saw Charlie Sheen in the lobby and, quite frankly, he looked coked out. I even mentioned it to my husband afterward. I'm not surprised by what happened!

Why not change your name from PopEater to PopCrapper? Who the hell cares about all spoiled rich celebs and the crap you spew into cyber space daily? Your site is a waste of time, and space, and an afront to anyone with a mind.

I just don't get it with these many actors, singers, etc.,that are such a mess. Unlike my husband and me, who are living on social security and have been in awe of many, (We just started watching Two and a Half Men-some content should be censored, but it is funny. I would not change my life for all that money they make and are nuts and over the top. Just an example of how money is not the end all that one would think. They should all "get it" and "stop it".

The sad thing is it shows the result of years of treating women badly. It isn't really funny anymore. We have enjoyed Sheen's show for years, partly because he was occasionally human, and sometimes suffered the results of his own bad behavior.
But now I wonder if the show isn't celebrating his treatment of women, instead of finding humor in making fun of it.
It is really really sad now. Unfortunately, this situation will probably push him toward denial instead of help.
The tv show is not funny if this continues.

You're as despicable as he is paula. Only an agenda-driven sexist would try and bring bigotry and hate into this story. You are truly pathetic.
Money and fame aren't everything, if your life is made of shallow sex with prostitutes and coking yourself up to numb the pain of being alone with yourself.
