PETA Offers to Help Pay Lindsay Lohan's Rehab Bill

Lindsay Lohan has lined up an attractive offer that may get her some cash, but the role is less meaty than her usual parts. Upon hearing that the actress was struggling to pay her $50,000 rehab bill at the Betty Ford Center, animal rights group PETA has offered the actress $20,000 if she adopts a vegan diet.

E! reports that PETA head Michelle Cho reached out to Lohan, telling the actress, "As you know, a crucial part of any recovery is showing charity to others. One way to do this is to be kind to animals, the Earth, and your own body. You'll never regret it."

PETA did give some conditions to their offer, including the fact that Lohan will get just $10,000 if she decides to be vegan only during her stay at Betty Ford, but will receive the full amount if she sticks to the plan for a year after she completes treatment.

The actress, who is currently kicking her cocaine habit at the famed substance abuse clinic, was reportedly hoping to find a sponsor to foot the bill for her stay. It's unclear whether or not she'll accept PETA's offer.

If going meat-free doesn't appeal to her, there's always a back-up plan: Porn site Tube8 says that they will shoulder the full cost of her treatment if she signs on as a marketing consultant. The extra bonus? Unlimited access to the site's content.

Who in their right mind would donate to PETA ever again after this? So many better uses for that money that could actually benefit animals. Do they really think people still look up to Lindsay, and are going to adopt a vegan lifestyle just because she did - for money, no less? Talk about stupid.

DO not send PETA any more money if this is what they are going to do with it. Pay for this skank's rehab. Let her pay her own way, she is the ONLY one responsible for her being there. This is what is wrong with her, everyone steps in to make it ok for her. Maybe, when she get's out this time, she will drive her car while doped up and drunk into a ravine. POOF, no more of this BS about this pathetic creature.

This is just disgusting. You don't want to condone eating meat? That's fine, to each their own. Allowing your orginization to have anything to do with this toxic skank is beyond stupid. This is exactly why I have never respected PETA as an organization. They are way more interested in courting celebrities and publicity than taking care of animals. Also, even though Lindsay is a loser of the highest order, I still have a problem with any organization using someone's addiction recovery as a bargaining chip for marketing purposes.
