Giovinezza: Whats wrong with the name Jeannette? It just so happens that it was my mothers name. It was on her birth certificate and although she didn't want to be called Jeannette, all her friends and family called her Jeanne. It is a beautiful name and my mother was a gorgeous woman.

Most people that had the pleasure of listening to nelson Eddy (AND Jeanette McDonald) are gone, but many of us that remember "real" music (before rock) are still around. I see a few singers are singing ballads now and then, but few sing pure notes (without stylizing). Most anything that can't be "danced" to, or has no guitars or drums whatsoever, are ignored nowadays, and that's a shame. Ever notice how many OTHER kinds of instruments exist--I wonder why?
