T.I.'s Wife Tameka Cottle Charged With Possession of Ecstasy

Though drug possession charges against T.I. were dropped after the rapper and his wife were arrested last month, the Los Angeles District Attorney is moving forward with charges against the rapper's wife, TMZ.com reports. T.I.'s wife, Tameka Cottle, is charged with possession of ecstasy.

The September arrest occurred when police pulled over the couple in Los Angeles after smelling marijuana. It was later reported that a small amount of ecstasy was found in the car as well.

If Cottle is found guilty, she could face up to a year in jail.

Charges against T.I. were dropped once it was determined he'd already be going back to jail for violating probation in the same incident.

Before the arrest, the rapper was on probation after serving 10 months in prison for possession of federal weapons. How dumb ccould you be? Where are their kids and who's taking care of them. He's in jail for 11 months and now she may go to jail for a year, who do they think they are Lindsey Lohan, only she can do drugs and not go to jail for no more than 2 weeks.

I agree. No they are not the Lindsay Lohans, who will be given multiple chances! You wanna know why, they skin color will prove to be the quick, but well needed judgement against them. We have to realize the same favoritism, and chances that is given to other races DOES NOT apply to us. Yeah all of our money is Green. But in the Court System, baby its all Black and White. Maybe parents should stop letting their children idolize these drug addicted creeps and stop allowing them to throw money at them. It only lands in the dealers' pockets anyway. I'm so sick of hearing about this problem all the time. It starts with the money, so cut it off.

Why is it that T.I.'s wife will spend time in jail while Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Charlie Sheen and other white celebrities get to go to "rehab" for a week or two? There is definitely a double standard here. And it is time that the justice system admits it and does something to remedy the discrepancy. Hollywood is adrift in a sea of all kinds of drugs, including cocaine and ecstacy. No wonder the U.S. is the biggest consumer of illegal and legal drugs.
