Who should play Princess Di in upcoming biopics? Years ago, Lindsay Lohan told In Touch Weekly she'd like to play the royal icon. That's unlikely to happen now. But according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail, Scarlett Johansson is a "possibility," along with "top" contender Keira Knightley, for an upcoming film that would take us through Diana's entire life from her childhood to her 1997 death.
The French producer of Knightley's 2008 film 'The Duchess' (which was marketed as having parallels to Diana's life) also made 2006's 'The Queen.' That film's star, Helen Mirren, is reportedly being sought to join the still-evolving cast as Diana's mother, Frances Shand Kydd.
Meanwhile, the paper reports another, bigger Diana biopic in the works. This one will zero in on the stylish Brit's relationship with bodyguard Ken Wharfe, and would be based on his 2002 tell-all, 'Diana: Closely Guarded Secret.' Charlize Theron has reportedly been cast as Diana opposite Ewan McGregor as Wharfe. Unlike the rumored Knightley project, which is in "early stages," the Theron-and-McGregor movie already has a script, and a nearly-$50-million budget.

Diana was a true humanitarian and terrific mother to her two sons. It's unfortunate that the media and Hollywood keep trying to "reinvent" the story. Her sons are grown adults and have a life of their own. Charles continues to be the "sow" of the royal family. Leave well enough alone. Let her memory and all the kindess she showed everyone be a lasting memorial to her.

How about Keith Richards or Rosie O'Donnell

OMG - Meg Ryan, what a wonderful choice. Meg has the charm, warmth,
looks, and acting experience to be perfect. PRODUCERS - "ARE YOU

I think Keira would be great but... they would most definitely have to use a nose prosthetic (Diana's nose was very 'aristocratic') b/c Keira's nose is very small. And some kind of bridge, Diana had a very captivating smile :) Height and weight would be ok, especially for Diana's early royal years (when she lost a ton of weight shortly after getting married).
Better question is; who's playing Charles? And will the actor have to wear fake ears?

Durrr. anyone check facts?
Kind of difficult for Ken Wharfe to have a Tell-all in 2003, as he pre-deceased her.
You totally lost me as any sort of fan, if you can't even get that right.

I believe that your thinking of Barry Mannakee, her former bodyguard who she had an affair with (1985/6?) and who died in 1987. Wharfe is very much alive. He actually does a lot of interviews about Diana. I believe that they had a professional relationship...

Kristin Stewart as the young beautiful Diana when she married Prince Charles. When she was so bashful innocent shy and beautiful. Before she became the slicked up media version older "Princess Di". Does anyone else remember her when she was like 19 years old and so perfect?

Kristin Scott Thomas should play Diana, she even looks a bit like her.

People!! we all know Diana's story. Why do we need a movie? She was one of a kind, and no one will ever measure up to her. Have some respect for her boys.

All these actresses are all wrong to play Diana. Besides, why do we need yet another Diana movie in the first place? Same might be said about all the actresses who've played Marilyn Monroe. Enough already.

Paris Hilton has more physical looks of a Brit, and slightly some similarities, that of the Late Princess Diana. Too bad she has more bad, than good under her belt. Oh yeah, then there's Ashlee Simpson! She could use a boost for her acting career.

Margaret Cho is the one.

Let Princess Diana rest in peace... Enough of all this bs.

I SAY LET DIANA LIE IN PEACE AND LEAVE HER LIFE ALONE. IF YOU HAVE NOT READ ALL THE BOOKS ABOUT HER THAN YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HER LIFE. SHE WAS A TORTURED SOUL AND HER MARRIAGE TO CHARLES WAS A SCAM ON HER. IT WAS A HORRIBLE THING HER LIFE ONCE SHE MARRIED INTO THE ROYAL FAMILY. I WISH AFTER ALL THESE YEARS SHE WOULD BE LEFT TO REST IN PEACE..WHAT SHE SEEKED AND NEVER FOUND. LET HER BE. FORGET THE MOVIE, IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY AND SINCE DI IS DEAD IT WOULD PROBABLY BE A BUNCH OF INACCURATE BS ANYHOW. HER STORY SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD WHEN SHE WAS ALIVE SO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ACCURATE, BUT THEN AGAIN THE ROYALS WOULD NEVER HAVE ALLOWED THAT NOW THEN WOULD THEY HAVE? I THINK NOT. I HATE MOVIES DONE ABOUT PEOPLE AFTER THE FACT COZ THEY ARE USUALLY SUCH BS.
