Giuliana and Bill: 'We're Ready to Try for a Baby Again'

Since Giuliana and Bill Rancic shared their sad story about losing their baby, they have received thousands of e-mails from people sharing similar stories and support and even dozens of serious requests from potential surrogates. But after taking time away to, as Giuliana puts it, "kiss, hug, hold hands and tell each other how much we loved each other," the couple is ready to try once more.

"We're ready to try again and we feel more optimistic than ever that we will have good news in the New Year. 2011 is our year," Bill tells me.

"From this experience we've learned everything really does happen for a reason and God works in mysterious ways. When we do get pregnant again, that will be the baby we were supposed to have and we will never take parenthood for granted," says Giuliana.

However, this decision did not come easy. "We took a much needed break from all the fertility stuff to connect with each other again. We had been trying for so long to have a child that the whole process had consumed us. A break was crucial to make sure our marriage stayed strong and as fun as it always was," Bill reveals to me.

Giuliana agrees that taking a break from "worrying about shots, doctor's visits, ultrasounds and blood tests was just what the doctor ordered."

The couple went to a relaxing resort in the desert where they could just be themselves again and reconnect.

"Since the loss, we love one another even more than before and our marriage is the best it's ever been," Bill tells me. They went to bed late, slept in all morning and got back to the way they were as a couple before they started trying to conceive. And now that they are ... we wish them the best of luck.

I am so sick and tired of hearing about their pregnancy problems. I saw them on a show where a doctor told her she was too thin and should gain weight, and she refused because of her job and that Hollywood wants skinny people. Where were her priorities back then? Now this pregnacy problem is fodder to their reality show.

I was going to write the same exact thing. She still looks anorexic so apparently her illness is more important to her than her health or having a little one.

Linda you took the words right out of my mouth. She needs to realize that she needs to eat in order to carry and deliver a health baby. She is way too thin and you can tell it is because she does not eat very much. Her face has that sunken look and she appears to be tired all the time. Food gives you energy and carrying a baby requires alot of energy.

WHO CARES?? SHE IS UGLY AND SO IS HE...WHY WOULD ANYONE CARE ABOUT THEM MAKING A BABY.....IF THEY WANT TO BE ON TV - ENTERTAIN US....I GET THIS IMAGE OF THEM IN BED TRYING TO MAKE A BABY - I CAN'T STAND THEM - I CHANGE THE CHANNEL FAST WHEN THEY APPEAR......SO PHONEY.........GET RID OF THEM...TOO MUCH GARBAGE ON REALITY TV.........I HOPE SOMEONE IS LISTENING....?????

She DOES look like a bug! By the way, some people don't know the difference between the word "your" and the word "you're." This is pretty elementary for anyone over, say, six years old.

MAYBE IF SHE WASN'T SO INTERESTED IN LOOKING LIKE 'TWIGGY' SHE WOULD BE ABLE TO CONCEIVE. A healthy, not skinny, body might make a difference. Being a narcissist and a Mom don't go together.

Giuliana and Bill: I was very sorry to learn of the loss of your baby. My husband and I lost a child at 12 weeks, took a break from the fertility treatments for awhile, and then took one last shot at in-vitro. Nine months later, we were blessed with full-term, very healthy triplets! God had a better plan for us, and I'm sure He has something better in store for the two of you. Love the show! I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Good luck!

I have no idea why, but I find this couple kind of cheesy. Why do they think we want to follow this. I saw them on The View and it was mentioned how very thin she is and that maybe she should gain some weight and that might help her get pregnant. Anyway I really don't care about either one of them.

You know, I feel really bad for this couple, but their problem goes under the heading of "TMI" (Too Much Information). We do not need to know all of this, and for most people, this is a private issue and should remain so. This is what is wrong with our society today, everyone think they have a God given right to know everything!! We do not.

Worse, every woman seems to feel she has a "right" to have a baby. I am really put off by the extent that people will go to to have a baby. Seems mighty self-centered to me. There's a whole lot of other things people can do with their lives other than reproduce little clones of themselves.
