'Monster's Ball' screenwriter Will Rokos has something to be thankful for, and it's not just his respected Hollywood career. Rokos survived being hit in the head by an arriving subway train in New York City on Saturday afternoon, the New York Post reports. The 57-year-old writer, who had been looking into the subway tunnel to see if a train was approaching, was thrown back onto the station platform, where fellow subway riders found him semi-conscious but alive.
Rokos is currently being treated for his injuries at New York's Bellevue Hospital. He is listed in critical but stable condition.

We need to thin the herd. Trains make noise, how can you be that stupid to be hit in the head by the train? He gets my vote for the Academy award for idiocy. First post! WAH WAH WAH!

A LITTLE ANGRY TODAY?GEEZ.
I've pulled/pushed people out of the way from subway trains quite often. And I can't even blame the tourists! The local New Yorkers are worse because they're impatient and nosy and often distracted and too many walk the yellow line.
Back the f**k up people!
I'm just sayin'.
Was it the front or the back of the head.
Bellevue is the psycho ward hospital. Didn't anyone watch Barney Miller ?

Perhaps, but I'm sure you're perfect.
Hope he didn't dent the train, they cost millions.
Maybe he should have had a bowl of Lucky Charms!
I do hope he is okay - what is that old saying? Man, I feel like I've been hit by a train!

no it should be (DUH DID I DO THATTTTTTT) OR (MAN I HOPE NOBODY WAS WATCHIN THAT) ROTFLMAO
As someone who rides New York subway, I say get hit by a train on your own is pretty difficult to do. Only options: he is almost deaf and he was looking in opposite direction.

Yep, only possibility other than a suicide attempt.
All that pot has its downfalls.

I'm with Boris. I've been in NY all my life, and the only people who've been hit or run over by trains have been severely intoxicated, with the one exception of that kid who had a seizure and fell onto the tracks (he got saved, though). So, with all due respect to this guy, he must've been either really drunk or really stupid, because there's a small gap between the trains and the platform.

WHO or WHAT do you thank for being hit by a train and ending up in the hospital?
If something or someone had the power to prevent him from being hit, and instead... oh never mind...
