Randy and Evi Quaid Skip Court Again, Forfeit $500,000 in Bail

Just one day after appearing on 'Good Morning America' and telling the world they were running from "star-whackers" and hiding out in Canada, Randy and Evi Quaid skipped another court hearing stemming from a previous felony vandalism charge, PEOPLE reports.

The pair was arrested in September on suspicion of living in the guesthouse of a Montecito home they previously owned. They're accused of causing more than $5,000 worth of damage.

The Quaids missed Tuesday's mandatory hearing in Santa Barbara, California--their third missed court hearing stemming from the September arrest, Deputy D.A. Anthony Harris told the court, according to E!Online.

Due to the missed appearance, Evi's bail of $500,000 was forfeited, court spokeswoman Liz Jahadhmy confirms to PEOPLE. Another bench warrant was issued for her in the same amount. It is possible she could face a fair amount of jail time.

Can't help but wonder who paid for Evi's bail. Sure wasn't the Quaids if they had to squat in a house that wasn't theirs. Saddest thing about that is they couldn't keep themselves from damaging the place. What is wrong with these people.

I have always loved Randy Quaid, but lately I'm wondering if he's Bi-Polar and off meds. Have no idea about his wife, but they both sound mentally ill and paranoid. Good grief!!!!Reel them in and put them in jail before they hurt somebody!

I believe that they both have mental issues. In all of her mug shots she has this look like she is thrilled to be arrested and as for him I would say that he has issues or else he has been around her long enough to believe these delusional stories she makes up. Or they both could suffer from drug induced paranoia. Regardless they both need professional help and are going to continue with their wild escapades until they are forced into some sort of psychiatric hospital.

they are not in canada. they are living in his motorhome in nevada. he feels safe there. kinda like independence day, waiting for the aliens. haha

Maybe Randy's role in Independance Day was closer to the truth. He definitely has a screw loose and I doubt he will continue with his movie career. But then again look at Robert Downey Jr., a confirmed druggie. Downey's career blossomed after all his arrests for using drugs and multiple rehabs. Doesn't make sense. I hope Randy's mental state does not rub off on his brother as I really enjoy watching Dennis Quaid in the movies.

So use the forfeited 500k bail money to pay off the 5k in damages to the guest house in their former home and leave this troubled couple in peace! We haven't been this vigilant about capturing Osama Bin Laden, fercrissakes.

These two never seemed all there, but mentally, they seem to have just unraveled. You can't be in your right mind to continue to do these things...I think this time, they are both going away for a very long tim.

I don't think anyone cares enough about Randy Quaid and his wife to want to kill them. If there actually were such a thing as "star whackers" Randy Quaid would have nothing to worry about. He's not a star. Before this mess that he's in, most people had never heard of him.
