Bill Maher repeatedly reminds his audience that he loves him some marijuana, but according to the host, whatever Zach Galifiankis was smoking on 'Real Time' on Friday wasn't pot."If it was a real joint, Wolf, I would have smoked it ... I think it was cloves or something," Maher told Wolf Blitzer in a CNN interview. "Zach's crazy, he's not that crazy."
Maher's publicist also sent a statement to E! Online saying the joint was an unspecified "prop."
However, Margaret Hoover, who was a guest on the show Saturday night, said she thought the spliff smelled real.
"Sure smelled like the real thing...," Hoover speculated on Twitter.

First, that so called "joint" was way too big to be a real one. You just don't roll them that fat. Second, I bet it was a clove cigarette. Third, was does a conservative, up-tight, right-winger like Margaret Hoover know about pot? You really think she knows what real pot smells like? Had to be cloves.

Uptight, right winger? Are you kidding me? The idiot smoked on national tv. Deserves the heat just on the basis of stupidity alone.
Vulture took the the time to do some light analysis on whether or not the joint was real, and they're still convinced it was real even after Maher denied it..I love this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via age'lessmate.c'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends..
"If it was a real joint, Wolf, I would have smoked it"
Bull....loney.
#1 - Real or not, Zach's still a pud.
#2 - It's time to legalize it.
I dunno...I still roll fat-boys.
Too big to be real? Is there some regulation size joint that determines if it's real or not? It can't be real because it's bigger than regulation size? Puhleeeze, give me a break!!!
too big to be a real "joint"? what the hell have you been smoking? crack? typical stupid libtard lol.
ObViOuSlY you've never smoked yourself. Everyone that's a "real smoker" rolls 'em that big if they got it.
uh, too fat to be a joint? if you think that was too fat then you clearly had different rules on joint rolling than i did. also if you think conservatives don't spark it up then your kidding yourself. i have no idea if it was real or not, and neither does anyone who wasn't there.

I hope it was real. And if it was and Maher didn't smoke it then shame on him haha. Seriously though, whether it was real or not, nobody can do a damn thing about it. GETS HIGH!

Wut?
Bud doesn't have to be excellent to be stemless. It's called CLEANING YOUR WEED.
If it was real the FCC would be all over the show handing out fines...not real.

I agree. It can't be real. Remember you cant even drink a beer on t.v. let alone light up something "illegal".
Not true. Pay cable channels like HBO (which is where Maher's show runs) are out of the FCC's jurisdiction. The only people that could do anything about that would be the DEA, and state or local police where the show is taped. Even then, the burden would be upon them to prove that what he smoked was indeed truly pot.
Sorry, Fran, but I recently saw an episode of "Today" where the hosts sampled various kinds of beer.
Bill Maher is still on TV?
