Zach Galifianakis Didn't Smoke Pot on Show, Bill Maher Says

Bill Maher repeatedly reminds his audience that he loves him some marijuana, but according to the host, whatever Zach Galifiankis was smoking on 'Real Time' on Friday wasn't pot.

"If it was a real joint, Wolf, I would have smoked it ... I think it was cloves or something," Maher told Wolf Blitzer in a CNN interview. "Zach's crazy, he's not that crazy."

Maher's publicist also sent a statement to E! Online saying the joint was an unspecified "prop."

However, Margaret Hoover, who was a guest on the show Saturday night, said she thought the spliff smelled real.

"Sure smelled like the real thing...," Hoover speculated on Twitter.

Galifiankis hasn't confirmed or denied whether or not the joint was real.

Vulture took the the time to do some light analysis on whether or not the joint was real, and they're still convinced it was real even after Maher denied it.

I watched the show with my son,and he said "daddy I want to smoke pot too" now what to I do. Only our lord and savior Jesus can get me out of this one. I must pray to keep him off these drugs

The Bill Maher show is NOT a show for kids, and if you watched it with your kid, shame on you. Their are a lot of adult issues discussed on the show and it's often laced with profanity. I don't think the Lord will help you for using poor judgement.

Oh, so now he DIDN'T smoke pot on the show, and the person on staff who said it definitely was, by the smell, was NOT telling the truth. Something DOES smell here and I don't mean the "cloves." It's more like they are trying to avoid possiblity of a 'smelly' prosecution.
