Keira Knightley 'Mortified' After Burglars Steal Laptops

Burglars invaded the London home of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Keira Knightley last week, grabbing a pair of laptops worth about $3,225, according to British reports.

Police say the intruders forced their way through a door leading into the star's home. She is currently in Rome promoting the film 'Last Night,' but a senior police source tells The Sun that she is "mortified" by the break-in.

"She feels violated and doesn't know if she wants to return to the flat," the source told the tabloid.

Detectives, who do not believe Knightley was targeted for her fame, are worried that the burglars will sell sensitive material found on the computers.

A statement from London's Scotland Yard reads, "Officers from Westminster CID (Criminal Investigation Department) are investigating a residential burglary at the flat. It is believed to have occurred between 9am and 9pm on October 26. A forensic team from Westminster CID was dispatched to dust for any fingerprints or shoe marks left behind."

This isn't Knightley's first scare this year. In February, a 41-year-old Polish man named Marek Daniluk was arrested for allegedly harassing the actress outside a theater where she was performing.

I wonder why Keira Knightley is "mortified" over the break-in. What exactly was in those laptops that would cause such humiliation and shame? Or is it simply that the girl doesn't know the definition of the word "mortify"?
