Kendra Wilkinson: 'I'm a Single Parent Now'

Kendra Wilkinson is taking on her toughest challenge -- being an almost single parent.

The former 'Girls Next Door' star decided she would move back to Los Angeles with 11-month-old son Hank, while husband Hank Baskett is in Minnesota playing for the Vikings.

"Not having Hank around hurts," Kendra told Life & Style. "Moving across the country by myself makes me think of my own mom who raised me and my brother alone. Hank's not going to be there forever, but with him not physically here, I'm a single parent now."

Baskett, who signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in March but was cut in September, found a spot with the Vikings. Wilkinson, however, didn't want to live in Minnesota.

"I fit in well in Philly, and I could relate to all the people, but the West Coast is my home. This is where all my family and friends are," she adds.

"When Hank left I felt lonely. He's my everything. Nobody else can really fill that loneliness," Wilkinson says.

The pair will still get to spend some time together.

"I'm going to go back to the minus-2-degree weather to spend Thanksgiving, baby Hank's 1st birthday and Christmas in a small one bedroom hotel room with my husband and son. That's all that matters to me."

Well there's a recipe for marriage disaster i.e. Sandra & Jesse. Too much time apart = infidelity.

Not true, I stood by my husband (as he did me) for the many years we HAD to spend apart. It only ends in infidelity if you don't care enough about the other, which obviously she doesn't or she would have moved. I don't agree with the relationship anyway but I don't have to. Regardless, she should've done what's right for her fam. Who knows, in a few years he could get transferred to Miami, oh wait, too many big headed ball players there already.

She lost the best thing ever happen to her, when you Marry a Pro-football Player there is alway's a chance he might get transfered so yu have to make decision your family or your Husband and she choose her family over her Husband and the Father of her baby. Since Marrying my Husband we have moved 25 times because of his job but I love my Husband and without seeing him everyday and everynight I will go crazy. All she ever whined about was how hard she had it growing up; however her father was absent, and, now, what does she do...skip out, herself. Even before this most recent story, I always wondered about the poor baby; when he grows up, having to live with "Girls-Next-Door" footage of his mother, as well as, of course, her s e x video. I feel sorry for her husband, as well.

What the heck makes her think she's a single mother...moron is more like it. Her husband didn't leave her stranded with a child.. she CHOSE to leave. They're not getting divorced or separating... he's WORKING. She's not raising a child on her own with no support from him, chasing down child support, sharing her son on holidays or half of the year. None of these things she's described qualify her as "a single parent" just a blooming idiot & an insensitive jerk to all of the moms out there who actually are.

Kendra. LAME! West coast is home blah blah blah. Where is your husband and how will your child fare not having his dad around as often? Selfish people should never get married. You go where your husband is. For better or for worse he's all the friends and family you need to keep your OWN family together. As a happily unselfishly married women I'll be damn if I live in one state with our child while he's in another. I may miss my friends and family but if i have my husband and our child that's all I need because they are my happiness. PERIOD

Kendra. I live in minnestoa have been in your state many of times I would not trade this beautiful state to any other state out there. Not saying they are not beautiful they all have their great places.. it is just the people and the kindness and the clean air and roads and quilty of are lifestyle. it is only cold for 5 months then back to record breaking heat. the five months about 20 days are minus 2 . Have your ever sat by a real log fire when the beatiful snow is falling and your snuggled with your family around fire playing games or watching tv.. this is priceless. you should try it, for your husband. you never know you might like it. Look me up when your here. I love to take you to all the hot spots. I love to party.. or snow sking or snowmobiling in the forest. or how about cross country sking it is so beautiful in the fresh falling snow under the full moon.
