Kendra Wilkinson: 'I'm a Single Parent Now'

Kendra Wilkinson is taking on her toughest challenge -- being an almost single parent.

The former 'Girls Next Door' star decided she would move back to Los Angeles with 11-month-old son Hank, while husband Hank Baskett is in Minnesota playing for the Vikings.

"Not having Hank around hurts," Kendra told Life & Style. "Moving across the country by myself makes me think of my own mom who raised me and my brother alone. Hank's not going to be there forever, but with him not physically here, I'm a single parent now."

Baskett, who signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in March but was cut in September, found a spot with the Vikings. Wilkinson, however, didn't want to live in Minnesota.

"I fit in well in Philly, and I could relate to all the people, but the West Coast is my home. This is where all my family and friends are," she adds.

"When Hank left I felt lonely. He's my everything. Nobody else can really fill that loneliness," Wilkinson says.

The pair will still get to spend some time together.

"I'm going to go back to the minus-2-degree weather to spend Thanksgiving, baby Hank's 1st birthday and Christmas in a small one bedroom hotel room with my husband and son. That's all that matters to me."

I don't see where she is being selfish. It's not easy schlepping a child, clothes, etc., to the "artic", let alone living there. Many professionals live in two houses, due to their schedules, climate, family, etc. Granted, she'd rather be with her husband than without, but this is their decision. The baby is beautiful.

How could she leave Hank. From what I've seen on the show, he is the sweetest and must encouraging guy I've seen on TV in a long time. He is great with her, the baby and her white trash family. I live in Minnesota and it is a beautiful state. Yes, it can be cold but not 24/7. She will never find a man like him.

Duh Kendra, what did you think was going to happen? You are a white chic who had a black man's child. If you love each other that much you would have made it work. People like you are making it too easy to say goodbye to marriage, its ridiculous. Now you are just like every other "baby's momma", a white girl left to raise her child alone. Don't worry though, I'm sure he'll be out having 10 gazillion other children by 50 different women, so you'll have plenty of lil' halfsies for your kid to play with. I don't know Who is more Stupid. Hank or Kendra. He married her, knowing what she was and where she'd been, what she was doing at the time. Guess who wasn't thinking with his big head? Well, he got what he was cravin'. Too bad there's now a baby being played like he's a ping-pong ball.

If both the Wonderful husband and Precious baby that you gush about were really important you wouldn't be in for quickie trips and holidays spent in a *small one bedroom hotel room*. You'd have a furnished home.... for everybody in your small family. If that's what was important. Evidently not.

And the fans in Minnesota must love to hear she doesn't fit in like in Philly, hates the cold weather and feels better in sunny Calif. Yeah.... I'd pay for tickets to his games and cheer for him as a player. Not! But like I say, he picked her. Now he can think about that in his small, one bedroom hotel room and lonely nights while missing his baby.

minnesota is great place to raise a family. do you know how much fun kids have in the snow.. snow ball fights. snow men ,snow forts,snow angels, skating on frozen pond ice fishing. I still go out and make snow angles in the snow.. have you ever taken your kids out in a beautiful snowy night on a sled. bundle them up blankets. walk around your neighborhood and see the christmas lights to the sound of the snow falling. they love this stuff.
