Tom Cruise scaled the world's tallest building in Dubai, while doing a stunt for his upcoming 'Mission: Impossible' installment subtitled 'Ghost Protocol.'

Cruise was seen scaling the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest man-made structure, which stands at 2,717 feet tall. The actor hung from the side of its observation deck, way up on the 124th floor, successfully pulling off a dangerous chase scene with another actor.

The 48-year-old actor is reprising the role of CIA agent Ethan Hunt for the fourth time, and the first time since 2006's 'Mission: Impossible 3.'

Cruise often insists on performing his own stunts for the film's intense action sequences, and just last month he was seen going down a zip line without his shirt for another stunt scene for the movie.

The plot of 'Ghost Protocol' is being kept under tight security. All that is known is that series regulars Cruise, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg will be joined by 'The Hurt Locker's' Jeremy Renner and 'Lost' hunk Josh Holloway.

The film, which is co-written by J.J. Abrams and directed by animation visionary Brad Bird, is scheduled to hit theaters on December 16, 2011. Get more at Moviefone.

I don't know how anybody can hate on this!! This guy is a hard core, true blue Hollywood artist. He's not joking around. Tom Cruise is not only talented, he's dedicated.
