New Poster of Mel Gibson in 'The Beaver' Revealed

Although Mel Gibson got booted from 'The Hangover 2,' he still has another chance at a comeback with Jodie Foster's 'The Beaver.' After struggling to get distribution, Gibson's first movie release since his summer meltdown is finally picking up steam, and ComingSoon.net saw the first poster at the American Film Market in Santa Monica, Calif.

Foster talked up Gibson's performance in an interview with MORE magazine, saying it's "one of his most powerful and moving performances."

In 'The Beaver,' Gibson plays a suburban husband and toy company CEO coping with depression through an imagined friendship with a hand puppet.

Whether or not this movie will get Gibson out of Hollywood jail, the poster makes the movie look either really creepy or utterly hilarious.

According to IMDB, the official release date is 2010, but that's subject to change.

Sure. Mel has given some great performances and done some great directing jobs. If a total narcissist like Charley Sheen can keep his job, Mel has done FAR less! I'll watch it.

I am with you. I have always enjoyed his movies whether he was acting in them or directing them. He does quality work. And really most of us in relationships for any amount of time have had some ugly blow outs, really is not anyone else's biz. Can you imagine having your life disected and people creeping around hoping to get a unattractive photo of you to slap on the front of tabloid garbage mags...

Mel would probably abuse the beaver and ask if it was a Jew. Sick guy who should never be on TV or appear in a movie again, even if he was sober. He deserves what he gets no matter what movies he has made in the past. He hasn't changed as a person and should be shunned for the bigot he is today. Sure, I will go see Mel's new movie. I think the media has crucified him. Look at all the other Celebrities who have had meltdowns. As for The Hangover 2, I will not be seeing that movie. The actors in that movie think they are too good for Mel Gibson, but it was okay for them to be in the same scenes with Mike Tyson who is a drug addict and a Rapist! I have always liked Mel Gibson and no media outlet will ever change my mind.

The "actors" from The Hangover had a problem w/Gibson. But they had no problem working with a CONVICTED rapist, Mike Tyson. Not much integrity.
